Can anyone understand what she says at the end of her answer to the reporter's question "Is there anything you would want to say to Lucas...? It is shown as unintelligible in the transcript. I think she might say "he 'was' and really good brother..." Can anyone else hear that?

This is the photo with two different stories by EG and her cousin. EG claims, and I am sure she made Lucas also claim, that he fell off of monkey bars. The cousin had a completely different story. This photo was taken back in late January. All I see in that photo is pain, misery, and a hurt look in his eyes. I wonder who the heartless person was that not only took the photo, but posted it for the world to see.

If I recall correctly, someone in JO's family took that pic. I dont find it heartless to take pictures to document his abuse. They were doing everything in their power to get him out of this situation. Then to post it, that was to show what a monster EG is/was. I do not for one second believe they had nefarious reasons for taking that picture.

Couple of thoughts:

Why did she take him to GraceMed...and in particular Jardine GM.

Those are clinics for "underserved" people's, did Lucas not have insurance? And if not, why not?

Also, these clinics are in "less than pleasant" areas of town...WHY choose them?

Annnd, MOO I am from Wichita, on "big city scale" it's tiny. If she was doing the hard stuff the dealer network knew of her, and she knew them. It's like their own little cliche.

Do they still have to wait for toxicology if they can determine a COD without it?

Smarter to wait until all the evidence is in. For example if they filed on what they have now the evidence may not merit/support the charge they wish to file. There could be no evidence at all. We don’t know.

There is no reason to hurry it. Let the toxicologists do their work under normal circumstances as free of stress as possible. Get the results with integrity. A defense attorney will challenge it to the best of his/her ability.

Lucas is gone. EG is again in jail. No need to hurry. The professionals who do this are highly trained, very qualified individuals. The Coroner is also very qualified, and the DA is waiting for evidence.

My guess is they tracked her by phone or using electronic means. Warrants have to be written, signed and served. Then say the provider has to go in and get that info. Then write the results. Info goes to IT specialist who may be LE, he had to look at it, dissect it and write a report for a file and to DA. AN assistant prints it puts it in a file in DAs desk for review. The next day the DA reads it puts it back in the file to wait for additional info.
To make it worse this was a holiday weekend. No admin or regular staff were in the office Sat-Tues.

All this for a single piece of info. In addition. Today is a Monday for these offices. Very busy and regular normal business is going on all around everyone. No offense intended but Lucas has become a number in a very heavy caseload. Various cases are in different phases of trial. Some staff have a discovery deadline and all of a sudden the power goes out or the copier burns up. All normal business. It all takes time.

I think LE is going to be very careful about when and how they charge EG. I don’t think they will make the same mistake as Orlando PD did with overcharging the defendant. I’m going to remain optimistic for now. Poor little Lucas was just found a few days ago. A final autopsy report should include toxicology and that report might take weeks.

Seems to me, even if Lucas shows injuries consistent with beatings that led to his death LE still needs to build the case to make it ironclad against EG. They have to make sure they can prove she caused his injuries and not some monkey bars or cousins or JH or whatever. I do think all the history of his bruising the family took, the calls to CPS, Lucas's own words will account for a lot. But those particular beatings aren't what killed him. It will show history tho. What if he had the terrible flu that he passed from but she had to hide his death because she had to hide the bruising from beatings? I can think of many things. Until we know COD I think we have all kinds of things to consider it might be. Toxicology can take 4-6 weeks from what I understand.

Very strongly agree. Half that time is waiting for tox reports.

@Charliegizmo49 Having been thru tragedy, I can attest that all these stages are accurate and sometimes, more than one happens at a time.

Zofran has been given to people with the stomach flu. I know in the past, it was used and still is for cancer patients suffering from nausea from chemo and radiation. None of us know if he was given a prescription for the flu or if Emily had her own and gave him some of hers. Or, she could have just lied about that, too. Nothing has been confirmed yet as to where the Zofran came from, just Emily's statement that she gave him some before she left for OG because he wasn't feeling good.

My 8 year old was prescribed Zofran just last week due to nausea from migraines. I actually asked his pediatrician if it could cause respiratory issues or sleepiness (and explained to her that I was asking because of this case). She looked at me like I was completely insane and said "no, I would never prescribe it to achild if that were the case." Take it for what it is worth.

That I love him very much and want him home. I want him home with MH, his sister and his dad and me. She misses her brother so much. ?

Also, I just heard JO state in the blog/talk interview that she took all the photos herself except for two and started documenting the reports of abuse a year prior to the interview date. The first being being her grandfathers funeral.

Anyone can buy a plan through "Obamacare" regardless of income. It's the subsidies that would be income dependent, however with children there's typically a lower threshold and more govt assistance available such as CHIP.

It's very easy to get children on Medicaid, especially if they have special needs as Lucas did.

Im curious as to how long JH has been at his current job and what his previous employment was.
