25:04 he says he noticed she is scared of Jonathan - when they talked about what they did yesterday he could tell she was scared of what Jonathan would do to her.

I tried listening to the entire thing again got as far as him talking about her being scared of Jonathan - I can't listen to the rest makes me ill she is only concerned about herself not one thought of Lucas

I appreciate the warning as I live by the old Sunday school song, ‘be careful little eyes what you see’ however I am interested in what the article might add to the discussion of hair being ‘bleached’ by the sun after death. Could you snip any text referring to that? tia

It doesn’t really address the hair in particular but basically the conditions and there is an image that shows the hai bleached is one area due to sun. I’m sorry!

Since JH is apparently unable to accept EG’s guilt, he probably just assumed the PI wouldn’t make any progress with her or find Lucas. He was probably thinking the PI would believe EG’s lies.
This is exactly what I think too. I think he was drinking the Kool-Aid, and believed she didn't know anything about Lucas' location, so to him, it was just going to be another day searching with no answers.

No apologies needed. I appreciate your input.

That stood out to me as well. I wondered if EG actually bleached it before dumping him in hopes that IF found, no one would think it was Lucas.
It was one small section that lined up with where the sun came through the culvert, I believe.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading about the toxicology and the length of time generally tested drugs stay in the body.

I need to ask opinions if this information is something folks would like to know with links or if it would be to intrusive.

I can put a little blurb with each link to let you know if something is to graphic or if simply factual.

I can say that it appears that some testing results are complete after 2 weeks and for a number of reasons and very intricate involved steps other results take up to and occasionally 6/10 weeks.

The labs that do this testing are all highly scrutinized and certified by a national forensic testing organization.

Honestly, I would not take in anyone who did that to a child. If they harmed someone once, there's a chance they'll harm someone again. I wouldn't trust her as far as I can throw her. I'm willing to bet there are a few uneasy people out there not sleeping very well, now that she is out. The woman is clearly unstable.

Imagrandma posted an article earlier to which the Wichita police said she is not under any protection at all, and there would be no protection in the future- that she is on her own.
I wonder if she's living with her homeless buddies. It might be a lot easier to hide that way and she's familiar with living that way. Plus easy access to drugs. I can't imagine anyone being willing to have her live with them. She's scary.

IMO, there's no way he didn't record the first day. He's not sloppy. He just didn't want to give it to NG, or maybe he didn't want EG to know he has it.

She probably has at least one or two family members who would house her

Who knows. But the 22 yo homeless guy was killed by a driver in March while trying to cross Kellog. The driver in the hit and run turned himself in and was arrested 4 hours later. So he’s dead. And DM DID say he did not see Lucas the night he was at the house.

IMO it was most likely a homeless meth buddy and the did meth that night.

I do not understand with the lifestyle this woman led how she had even any contact with kids let alone responsibility for anything. This is so much worse than I first thought.
I too feel this is worse than I first thought. Sounds like she just lived recklessly while supposed to be caring for 2 young children. Sounds like drugs fueled her life and everything else took a back seat. Disgusting. I wonder if the neighbor could feel (or see) drug abuse about EG. I would keep my kids so far away her it wouldn't be funny.

I hope they don't have children. There should be a law about anyone taking her in with children. It would be neglect of the parents imo. If I lived next door to a parent taking her in I would report it to anyone I could think of.

Little O/T. But my SIL recently bought a house in Orlando. The same day she said "Ugh, what if I end up with Casey Anthony as my neighbor". We laughed it off but yeah, UGH!

Recordings on Nancy Grace show reveal how investigator persuaded Lucas' step mom to talk

In an interview that aired with the recordings, Marshburn tells Grace that his goal in telling Glass she’d only receive probation was to keep her talking until she revealed where Lucas’ body was hidden. She didn’t know that she was being taped, he told Grace.

“We try not to lie. And in our minds, we don’t,” Marshburn told Grace, explaining his tactics. “She makes a fake reality, so we do, too. ... We do the same thing she does to us.”

The two podcasts, which were released Wednesday and Thursday, give the most detailed account so far from Marshburn of how he convinced Glass to take him to Lucas’ remains and how exactly the boy’s body was found hidden lying under debris beneath a culvert bridge in southeast rural Harvey County.

I understand the PI sending JH away, but no way do I understand going 12 hours away while the PI is with the woman who has told me that she did it and she is taking him to look for his body. Lucas paid the ultimate price. JH knew what was going on in the home, he knew about abuse claims and CPS, he at the very least saw the bruises, he knew EG had lost custody of her two sons, he participated in drug and violent activity with EG, IMO his choices contributed to the death of Lucas.
BBM
Exactly,if she could do this to her own flesh and blood, what the &$"@ would make him think his son would be in good hands??
I'm sorry, knowing all he knew about her own personal situation, on top of bruises, scratches etc., on precious little Lucas, still wasn't enough for him to take his son out of her care! He has the same selfishness as EG, he looked past all of that for his own needs. He's not at all innocent in this.

I know there was some confusion IIRC media reported two different scenarios regarding the CINC - one said EG would be allowed to see MH and I think the other reported he would leave it up to the Judge in CINC. I wonder if she has been able to see MH and if so could the Judge change that ruling now that this has all transpired even though no charges have been filed yet?

The private investigator who convinced Emily Glass to lead him to her missing stepson’s body told her she wouldn’t do more than 18 months on probation if she came forward and told police what happened to Lucas Hernandez, according to a podcast.

On an audio recording the private investigator, David Marshburn of North Carolina, made of his conversation with Glass on May 24, he tells Glass that if she comes forward, she’ll be charged with concealing Lucas’ death. He also tells her she might possibly face an obstruction of justice charge after she asks if she’s going to go to jail.

“They’re going probably to charge you with obstruction — that means you lied to them. Well, that’s not gonna stick,” Marshburn says on the recording, which was played on the second of two “Crime Watch with Nancy Grace” podcasts that aired this week.

“Just make sure the story you tell this time is exactly what we talked about,” Marshburn tells Glass.

She cries and says she doesn't want to go to jail. "I can't do jail. I can't!" she sobs on the recording.

Both are available in full on www.crimeonline.com. Each is just under an hour long and includes commentary from Grace and others she invited to be on the show.

Glass, 27, reported Lucas missing from their South Edgemoor rental home on Feb. 17. At the time, she told police that Lucas went missing from his bedroom while she was taking an afternoon nap. Police said they didn’t believe Lucas left on his own and that there was no sign he was abducted.

Sorry pommy, I didn’t notice you had already posted the same.

I want to put this out here before I get too involved in my chores. But did DM really forget to record on Wednesday? I don’t think so! He’s got the goods, IMO.

I caught that too. I doubt she was scared physically. After all, she is the one who went after him with an axe handle. I am thinking more like she was scared he would no longer stick by her and her perfect little world where he was gone weeks at a time and she could do whatever she wanted while being supported by him might be over.
I wonder if she has seen him since that day Lucas' body was found? I hope not, because that probably torments her more than anything. Especially if she saw news footage of JH and JO standing together releasing balloons and hearing they went together to the site where the body was found. I hope that eats her alive.

A thought just occurred to me.

I wonder...would JH be willing to wear a wire and attempt to get details or a confession from EG?
