If you listen to the podcast @liltexans posted upthread, @Tricia said that JH is still sticking by EG and will continue to do so until it’s proven that EG killed Lucas.

Oh My God. There we have it- he's defending her still, just as I thought. That sickens me, just sickens me.

She admittedly threw his child out like garbage. That alone isn't reason enough to wash your hands of her?! I can't handle much more of him.

Same here- I honestly and truthfully want to vomit right now. I had an inkling he was still standing by her, but boy oh boy, do I ever wish I was wrong about that. I might need to just step away from this, some crazy and freaky things happening in this case. My negative thoughts towards those responsible isn't good for my soul, let me tell you........

Well, there was someone mentioning earlier in the thread they were waiting for proof and that the story might be misleading, so I guess I took it the wrong way and they meant nothing by it?

I am so sick at the thought of it. How can he sit or stand next to Jamie, knowing that his live in side kick harmed their son, then hid him for three months? How do you run back into her arms again? ARGH!!!!!

I had to take a sanity break overnight. The madness is an appropriate response to the insane reality. I just want to go Game of Thrones on the both of them.

Good grief, I can't believe some of what I am reading. Shocked by the swing votes here. The man knew he was being abused- it was reported by THREE different families- THREE! Emily's was the first- can you bleeping imagine that? HER OWN family! The Jonathan's and Jamie's families reported the abuse. He knew what was going on- three families reported it! There's pictures everywhere documenting this abuse of his son!

Not to mention I will never forget that anger he had in an early interview, shortly after Lucas disappeared. He was so pissed off at his family for bringing up the abuse- he was furious! Refused to address it with the media or talk about it- saying once Lucas was found, then deal with the abuse allegations. In his own words!

JH clearly chose to ignore the abuse. All other reports aside, if my son ever told me that someone hurt him, threw something at him or stated that “—- doesn’t like me anymore”...that person would be banished from my life and my son’s life.

Before I got re-married I told my fiancé that if he ever laid a hand on my son it would be the last thing he ever did. A bit extreme perhaps, but I wanted it known that my son was my first priority. Twenty years later and all is well!

I think I’m somewhat caught up- I see not much has changed in two days. EG is still a person, JH has no sympathy from me and I still think about Lucas multiple times a day!!! Just sitting around waiting for the monster to be charged!

I have no idea where Jonathan stands now as far as Emily is concerned. Can't remember the exact wording of the last time Jonathan spoke but it was along the lines of he was sticking by Emily. Has that changed? I have no idea. Could be then again maybe not. Just don't know. Like I said things change so rapidly you never know.

The abused child's father filed a report with LE the same day the abuse happened, so I do think he would have been charged regardless of Lucas being disappeared.

As far as EG’s son goes.... I’m so glad his father had a backbone and cared !!!! He stood up for his son and protected him! Isn’t that what parents do?!

The Emily doesn't like me came from a report made to DCF - I am not sure if a relative reported that Lucas said that or if Lucas actually told someone from DCF that when they investigated. Either way I believe 100% that Lucas did say that.
May 16, 2017: DCF, the Kansas child protection agency, received the first of two reports of suspected abuse involving Lucas. Glass and an “unknown perpetrator” were suspected. The boy reportedly had bruising in the shape of a hand on his left arm, bruising on his left cheek and on his bottom.

“It was reported that when asked about his bruises, all Lucas would say is that (Glass) 'doesn’t like me any more,'" it says.

DCF investigated, “determined that there was not enough evidence to support the allegation. DCF closed the case.”

"Unfounded" ugh it's maddening! When there are repeated complaints, and photographed bruises, how could they dismiss it??

Really Jonathan could go back and forth 10 times before the trial. Who knows? If I had to choose, in my opinion, I would say when this goes to trial, (unless it doesn't) Jonathan will still believe Emily's story. Because if he doesn't believe her then he has to admit he is the one who left Lucas alone with a killer.

Gosh I hope not Tricia. I can only imagine to have to admit to oneself that because of their trusting another person their own child is gone. Now it's time JH steps up to the plate, admit his stupidity, get some help and maybe try to help others who can't admit their child is being abused. I can imagine it's so hard for him to admit, but he did get hoodwinked by EG. And with that acknowledgment comes some blame. A lot of blame. Had he listened to others, paid attention to his son, not love so blindly for EG, his son would be alive. Yes, it's hard to face but he already knows it.

I have so much more to say as to what all has gone on with the murder of little Lucas. So far, we can't discuss it here, but I'm looking forward to the right time.
I think of all of you here so often and how much we have all come together on here. You're a good group and I'm proud to be a part of this.

I just want to take a moment to say how happy I am to have found this community. I have been here a little over a year and mostly lurk. I have posted a few times, but even more so look forward to reading the insight of my fellow sleuths. I’m a reader, observer and analyzer. I am becoming more comfortable here. This group of people is amazing and I can’t thank you enough for being here with me. When my kiddos are tucked away for the night and all is calm, I spend my quiet time here with you. Although the cases that bring us here are the saddest of all, it does feel like a community. Thank you for welcoming me. I feel like my heart has grown ten times since the beginning, each little one finds a special place there and changes your view of the world. Little Lucas keeps shining through tonight for me. <3

What do you suppose the DA is waiting for as far as an arrest? It's obvious Lucas died and EG knew where the body was hidden as she presumedly placed him there. It's obvious he died from unnatural causes, otherwise why hide him? The PI saw him and said he died from a concussion. I think that says a lot!
