You are correct, booking photos are not released by all states. For instance, in Florida you can get anything about anybody, including mugshots; NJ and TX on the other hand you barely get verification of their presence in jail or prison and you don't get their mugshots. Something else to keep in mind, she was just arrested and processed in this afternoon, her mugshot probably hasn't even had time to update beyond their internal intranet.

I must say I am a little concerned about the weak charges they have laid against her. I hope whatever bail amount they set is substantial enough to keep her in jail.

Very brief so we don’t get off topic- but a few weeks ago a guy was arrested for raping multiple children at a daycare and the YMCA. his original bail amount was 100K and a bond company bailed him out right away.

Not surprising that the actions are now being taken against the stepmom. They are making sure she stays locked up until they can locate the body. Sadly I also wouldn't be surprised at all if the father eventually gets charges put on him as well. He may not have been the one doing any of the crimes but chances are good that he knew about the stuff that was going on. And if it does end up being that the stepmom murdered him that he would have known there was a chance she would do something like this.

I think there's a good chance it might be the other way around, too.

I wonder if two counts of endangerment is because of the three-hour nap? Or is there something else going on?

I wonder if postpartum issues are involved. I came within half a second of crashing my car into a bridge abutment at 75mph with my beloved three-year-old in the back. Thank God my family helped me get help.

I wonder if any of those oddball religious groups are involved?

The 26-year-old stepmother of Lucas Hernandez has been booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on two counts of child endangerment. The five-year-old boy remains missing.

Booking sheets show that woman, Emily Glass was booked into the jail a little before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the counts against the woman involve two children, one of them being Lucas. Police say this is a continuing criminal investigation and the search for Lucas continues.

There's a picture on EG's FB page of two boys who look like they're on a bridge over a river/creek with lots of trees and bushes at the sides of the water. I was wondering if anyone could tell the location of that place and whether it would be accessible to someone at this time of year as a dumping site?

(Been wanting to ask that question for a couple of days!)

I had my husgand look at this picture the other day and he had no idea either. It could be anywhere.

RSBM: We have seen this, sadly too many times, in other missing children cases. Watch it progress. Oftentimes being arrested and IN JAIL, instead of just being questioned, makes a subject realize that '***** just got real.' and wears them down enough to finally talk. JMO

IMO the 3 hour nap whould be attributed to a drug issue of some sort. Baby was born Jan 2017 and having 5 kids, and all of the new mama friends I’ve had over the last almost 18 years since my first child, I have a lot of experience with all the issues, sleep deprivation, etc.. this was not that. Reports of kicking your stepchild are not normal.

The dad definitely knew. It's stated in the Kansas.com article that the relatives in New Mexico asked both the father and SM about the alleged abuse last year. Both denied it. Then the relatives were denied contact.

This is why.
I feel terrible for all who loved Lucas --- past tense as I'm thinking he is with the angels !
Would be nice to be wrong-- but then he'd go back to live with dad who denied any abuse. Not a good situation for Lucas.
