I think the story is going to be hair raising when the details are known. This timeline is interesting.
He was stopped in a traffic stop at 12:25 pm near the Oklahoma border (170 - 230 miles or a 2.5 hour - 3.5 hour drive from the house in Kansas). The 911 call was made at 1:16 pm. So even if he was speeding like crazy, he would have had to leave the house by shortly after 10:00am to be near the closest border point by 12:25. The 911 call didn't come in until nearly an hour after that traffic stop at 1:16pm
Dear Jesus... those poor babies are probably terrified!Per the presser linked above:
LE has had dealings with the suspect in the past.
LE arrived on scene around 1:30 p.m.
Initial Amber Alert was issued shortly thereafter.
NO! NO! NO! This just made me sick!Emily Holwick KMBC@EmilyKMBC
UPDATE: Authorities confirm to @KMBC
that the two boys found dead in a Leavenworth home are Donny Jackson's sons. Police are still looking for Jackson and his two daughter, Nora, 7 and Aven, 3.

Gotta find this guy quick no question. It might already be too late. Those little girls must be terrified.
To punish the mother maybe. God knows we’ve seen that before. Why kill the boys? Any thoughts?
Agreed.Unless he has full gas cans in the trunk, he's going to need to stop for gas at some point soon.
LE needs to get that info from the wife re: how much gas was left in the tank when he took off.
He's likely not going to stop unless/until he absolutely has to, so LE should try to figure out how many miles he's going to log before that happens.
JMO.

What’s weird is him taking the two girls with him.

Yea, I’m not understanding why he would take the girls unless he just wants to torture mom more.To punish the mother maybe. God knows we’ve seen that before.

Agreed.
I don’t FB, so would you consider this behavior erratic or planned out?
