Marchant and Javonovich are Zaiden’s biological parents but were not married. Marchant is the 4-month-old’s biological mother, Davidson said. Court records show Marchant has two older sons. Javonovich has an older daughter.

I have seen where meth addicts scratch at their skin and pull out tufts of hair. But hers loo0ks pretty extreme.

I didn't see anything on her FB about her having medical issues. But who knows?

She could have trichotillomania? I had to cut my hair really short once because I pulled a nice little bald spot and it could be she pulls her eyebrows out.

I thought about that but she has stubble on top. I guess I really don't know a lot about alopecia though.

My friend’s daughter has it, and she just has random spots missing from a thick head of hair. I think it varies widely from one person to another.

A lot of her pictures on facebook have her in wigs. People are commenting on them. I didn't realize that she couldn't have her wig on for a mug shot. This whole situation is so upsetting. Poor little boy! You are supposed to be safe and protected when you are with your parents.

I know people who went to school with her. It’s not cancer it’s some sort ailment that causes you to not produce certain nutrients that are needed to grow hair. She normally wears wigs. The police have been there before I see that’s reported but why with kids in the house did they not have dcfs involved ? I know she has 2 older boys. Last I knew they were In the full custody of their father. She had the older 2 really young.

Capt. Brent Allred with the Homicide Divison of the Wichita Police Department said officers found 3-year-old Zaiden Javonovich wrapped in a blanket. He said they cannot say if the child starved to death, but said he had obvious physical injuries.

Police told KSN that they had received no reports of abuse at the home. However, they did reveal the Kansas Department for Children and Families has reports on the couple.

"We know DCF has reports or have been involved. I haven't seen the reports. I suggest contacting DCF if you want more information," said Capt. Allred.

KSN News filed an open records request with DCF on Friday after learning of the child's death to find out if the agency had any contact with the children or parents prior to the child's death. KSN News was told we would have to wait on the investigation.

I hope it isn't either. @ESO when it comes to releasing information, DCF cannot hide behind no charges this time, right?

This is a good question. I think they do have to respond in some manner, but I’m not sure if it’s just that they had a pending case, or releasing details of the case. I think it’s just if they had a case. Don’t quote me on that though.
