So sorry this happened in your community.

In my opinion, though, his FB page shows him to be NOT normal. His pictures show him flashing an AK47, which I had read he used in the shooting.
And the music post "Trick Daddy - Bout My Money - Book of T**gs Chapter AK Verse 47" Shows where his mind was at just 10 days before he started shooting people.

MOO

He also had several posts that tagged his workplace that were accompanied with negative emoji, angry selfies or words that WS won't let me post here. Many people post something like that once in a while after a bad day at work but it makes you wonder after what happened.

Oh thank you. I only know people that know people there. I shop at the nursery a lot for gardening purposes. Just hits very close to home. Around here you either know someone, or you know someone that knows someone affected.

You're right. I should have said apart from the gun posts. I was mainly looking at his kids and feeling really bad for them.

And, I find it amazing that no one asked him where the heck he got that AK-47 or whatever it was that he was shooting in that video. That would have been the first question in my mind if I saw that and was a friend of his.

I may be mistaken but I thought I read he used a .223 semi-automatic rifle and also had a handgun. Sometimes its hard to tell what type of rifle it truly is since there is so much hardware that can be put on a rifle that makes it look like an assault rifle from large grips to a large magazine clip. I wonder if someone sold it to him and told him it was an AK-47 and it wasn't?

If it was an AK-47 I sure hope the police can find out who he got it from and arrest them for selling or giving someone an illegal weapon.

IMO

I am glad she is charged! I wonder if she will be held legally liable for any of the carnage he caused.

Probably not but I sure wish she could. Why in the world would she give this man this gun?

I was right about the gun though. It wasn't an AK-47 but it was a look alike and was a semi-automatic rifle.

I was hoping it was an actual AK-47 because she could then be charged in federal court for having an illegal weapon. Semi-automatics are allowed but fully automatic weapons like a AK-47 aren't allowed to be purchased nor can anyone legally have them in their possession.

IMO

"Ford reported for the second shift at Excel Industries around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office. Around 3:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office served him with the protection from abuse order at the plant. One hour later, Ford "failed to return to work after a break. Just before 5, reports came in of the first shooting."

Josh Higbee

A 31-year-old man killed during a shooting rampage at a Kansas factory is being remembered as an engaged car lover, avid fisherman and a devoted father to his 4-year-old son.

His sister-in-law, LaShonda Hinson, tells the Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/1Qm2Y9D ) that Higbee "was taught to be a very loving, kind man," and that he adored his young son.

The newspaper says Higbee was adopted into the Hinson family when he was 2 years old. His brother, Nathaniel Hinson, tells the paper Higbee was always known as a "Mr. Fix-It."

Dennis Britton Jr

A man whose son was wounded in an attack at a Kansas factory says his son told him that when the shooting started, people were yelling "gas fire, gas fire."

Dennis Britton Sr. says his son, Dennis Britton Jr., said he stepped away from his welding bay Thursday at the Excel Industries lawnmower parts factory in Hesston when somebody hollered at him. He says his son heard a pop and then went to the ground.

Britton Sr., who is also a welder at the factory, says his son's right leg was severely fractured by a gunshot and that he's being treated at a hospital in Wichita, which is about 30 miles south of Hesston.

I wish she could be charged, too. The punishment for illegal gun deals needs to be harsher IMO. Also, I think AK-47s can be purchased with the appropriate license. My bio-dad is a gun dealer and I am told he has 4 of them from what I am being told by my family. (I know, that is excessive but everything he does is excessive.)

Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton said Friday that Ford was a felon and had “been in my jail a couple times before."

Maybe LE should do more facebook searches... He made no secret that he had these guns.

In just the last week, 11 mass shootings have brought terror and tragedy to our country. This is not the America we strive for. #Hesston
