I totally agree with you, he needs to be shut up forever and never be able to spew his hate again. Even though the people he shot were not jewish, his hatred for the jewish is uncalled for. I am not sure if this was considered at hate crime or not. If not it sure should have been.

I live not too far from the area this happened. This really shook up the area, and you just don't find this kind of hatred in the Kansas City area.

BBM. Sounds like when Jodi Arias tried to plead guilty to 2nd degree murder and they wouldn't let her because it was clearly 1st degree- premeditated!

Glad to hear it. Think I have some cousins who are Jewish in K.C. That'd make me more likely to visit them.

It couldn't agree more.

I had read that Kansas didn't currently have a charge for hate crimes, but U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said additional hate crime charges will likely be coming soon on the federal level. Did that ever happen? I haven't found that anywhere.

If so, he could end up in a Supermax Federal prison which would be better. He has been in a Federal prison previously and has a long criminal history.

I can't find anything about this being a hate crime. If you google Frazier Glen Cross you will find all kinds of interesting information. Most can't be posted here as they are not MSM links.

He is from southern MO and not the Kansas City Area.

I am not originally from the state of Kansas and in my opinion KS is not very serious about punishing their criminals. There are 9 people on Death Row and the last person put to Death was in 1965.

He didn't even live in KC, or KS for that matter. He drove from somewhere in MO to do his evil.

If I recall correctly, they weren't able to bring the hate crime charges since his victims weren't actual members of a targeted group...a technicality. On the one hand it's infuriating, but on the other it stole some of his thunder at least.

Death penalty remains tough issue for Kansas juries

Cross, an avowed white supremacist who says his anti-Semitic beliefs prompted him to target Jews at the Jewish Community Center and Village Shalom, is trying to convince the jury to give him a sentence of life in prison instead.

“I don’t think anyone ever wants to go to the execution chamber, and I think he’s among those also. So I think he’ll fight hard to keep that from happening,” said David Langston.

Langston, a defense attorney, said he’s been watching the trial as it has played out in Olathe.
....

Kansas is among 30 states that have not carried out an executive in the last five years. Many states are in a holding pattern as lawyers battle over lethal injection drugs. Some states have backed up lethal injection with other methods, including Utah, which just approved the use of a firing squad last year.

Missouri, Cross’ home state, has been executing inmates through lethal injection at a rate of about one per month for more than a year. Roderick Nunley, who kidnapped and killed a Kansas City girl in 1989, was put to death Tuesday evening.

Exactly how does showing a video of an extremist Jewish organization that most Jews do not support or his stellar military record justify saving his life???:waitasec:

Makes you question if this was intentional on his part.

Kinda like fleeing to a country you know has no extradition treaty for the Death Penalty???

The JCC is just over the KS/MO border. Just look on a map.
