Why the hell is he buckling up car seats????

  • #1,104
Why would he tell his kid about thunder if the kid was terrified of thunder? Especially when they are outside. Makes no sense. He was trying to put words in his kids heads..

So that while he was setting the house on fire they would stay in the car.
He had to work that in since they were probably buckled in when police/fire arrived. Guess he didn't have the keys to lock the car...in his storyline anyway.

This is really hard to listen to. He told the boys about thunder as he was buckling the boys into their car seats. The two dogs had followed them out. After he got the boys in the car, and the dogs in the car, he thought where'd he put his cell phone, but then realized it was in his hand.

I do wonder how he buckled them in with a phone in his hand.

Vashti's dead, the house is on fire, he first thought was the boys.

He dropped Vashti, didn't lay her down and he went to the boys room.

He left the bedroom and went straight to the boys room.

Didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. He didn't notice it at the time but their door was closed. He had to open their door to get in the door. That's not normal. When BS had left the boys room prior, the stopper was still on the door.

Goes into the boys room and he notices that their nightlight/lamp is off.

The lamp is always on. Boys don't sleep in the dark. One of them is particularly afraid of the dark.

The only illumination was from the hall light behind him.

Came in the bedroom door and older son was on his knees and as soon as BS came in the room he put his hands out to BS. He picked the boy up. BS reached down and grabbed younger son who was sleeping. He grabbed him and tossed him up into his left arm.

Ran out of their room, down the stairs, through the kitchen and out of the house.

Ran to Vashti's VW in the driveway.

Put both kids in the back seat and started to buckle them in.

As he was running to the car he saw one of their dogs running beside him. Saw both dogs.

Got the boys in the car. BS remembers a lot of talk with the boys. Kids were terrified.

Told one of them it was just thunder as he was buckling them into their seats.
Knows he got older son buckled in, younger son's car seat is on the other side. Had a hard time getting the younger son's car seat buckled. One of the reasons why was because BS was still holding his cell phone.

He was thinking he had to call 911. He had not hung up from the call from Vashti. Says the phone had been connected all that time and he had to push the end button.

BS called 911.

Why the hell is he buckling up car seats????

He has to explain why the children were sitting in the car buckled in their car seats.....yes? They were probably out there the entire time this man shot their mother and set their home on fire!

Why the hell is he buckling up car seats????

Because he is trying to put time between him and the cops and fire...

Normal people would have run right to a neighbor with their kids. I am going to be 99 out of 100 times, In that kind of neighborhood they run to a neighbor with their babies..

what was your first thought?

The boys.

I immediately started heading for the boys. I just dropped V, and let her go. I was already spinning and ran to the boys room.

I, uh, left the bedroom and went straight to the boys room.

I didn't notice it at the time, but the door was closed to the boys room. I had to open the door to get in the door (that was not normal).

When I left the room, the stopper was still on the door.

The first thing I noticed, is their nightlight is off. The lamp is always on, the boys don't sleep in the dark. Um, when I opened up the bedroom door, the only light was from the hall light behind me. Once again, it didn't register at the time. I came in the BR door, light was cast from behind me. B was on his knees, and he put his hands out towards me.

I picked B up and shifted him over to my right arm.

I reached down and grabbed BS right upper arm, and he was asleep on his stomach (out cold), and I grabbed his upper arm, and tossed him on my left arm.

Took off, went running out of their room, ran around to the stairs, through the kitchen, and out of the house.

Ran straight to V's VW.

I opened up the rear passenger door, and put the boys in the back seats, then started to buckle them in.

It wasn't until I was running down the sidewalk, the corgies, one of them was running right beside me. I looked around for the other one - who was also running along.

There was a lot of talk. BR was terrified, B was terrified, and I remember we talked about noise (geez...when is this guy gonna call 911). B is scared of thunder.

I know I got B buckled in, BS car seat is on the far side, his seat is a lot more complicated (hello...911...hello). I spent a LONNNGGG time on it. I don't know if I got him buckled in, or if I just gave up. I was just having a horrible time of it. (hello 911)?

I didn't know I still had the cell phone until I got the dogs and the boys in the car. I started thinking I have to call 911, I have to call 911. It crossed my mind, where did I put my cell phone. Only when I shut the door did I realize the cell phone was in my hand (HELLO).

I was still connected to V I think. I did realize the phone was connected to V all this time because I hit the end key.

me: gee, lets get the doggies and the kids all buckled in before calling 911. Who cares if my wife is dead/dying upstairs and my house is on fire.

Is this for real?

MOO

I agree. I don't have any neighbors, but if I did, that's what I'd do.
