GUILTY KS - Vashti Seacat, 34, found slain in house fire, Kingman, 30 April 2011 - #2

The convicted murderer is now facing life in prison, but it will be up to Judge Larry Solomon as to whether Seacat will ever be eligible for parole.

Solomon will sentence Seacat to life in prison withour parole or life in prison with the possiblity of parole after 50 years.

Seacat will be 87 years old before he could possibly be up for parole.

Solomon scheduled Seacat's sentencing for August 5.

So who thinks Brett Seacat will get life with parole or life without? My opinion based on how the judge carries himself and his court? If Brett had just killed his wife that would be one thing but endangering those little boys changed the whole thing. The premeditation of the murder is the cherry on top. Life w/o IMO.

Awwww just heard on Nancy Grace that da poor widdle baby Brett needed help walking out of the courtroom and was having trouble breathing. Eff that guy! Bet Vashti had trouble breathing, too.

Pretty sure it was Brett's dad that needed help walking out of the courtroom and was short of breath.

I predicted a verdict today. Only because I was out of my Country literally all day yesterday until late last night. Kudos to the Jurors for getting it right. I pray Vashti's family can find some measure of a new normal. Thanks for all the updates folks :seeya:

I watched and blogged the whole trial with a friend. I was the prosecution, she was the defense! At the end, after he was led off, his parents went on the Telly and blasted the American justice system, saying his wife, Rachel had been depressed and killed herself and baby Lily.

Does that remind anyone of this case?

I had read that the neighbors wanted the house demolished long before now. I think they had to wait until after the trial before they could. :twocents:

Brett Seacat faces life in prison, without the possibility of parole. But he will not get a hard 50 sentence. The Attorney General took that off the table.
