Found Deceased KS - William 'Bucky' Boyd, 61, Kansas City, Aug 2017

The Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a missing person out of Kansas City, Kansas.

They are trying to find 61-year-old William Boyd Jr., known by the name “Bucky.”

He’s a black man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, and weighs about 160 pounds.

He was last seen more than a week ago at his apartment complex in downtown KCK.

His family and friends said they’re concerned for his well-being due to some suspicious activity with his financial situation, and because he is not totally able to provide care for himself.

Bucky is known to visit Big Eleven Lake at 11th and Washington in KCK.

Missing KCK man’s family hopeful remains found at Big Eleven Lake are not his

It could take weeks for a positive identification.

Boyd, police said, is known to visit Big Eleven Lake.

Earlier this week, a woman called about their flyer and told the family that he was at the lake the day he went missing.

She told the family she saw Boyd in a certain location, which is actually right above where deputies removed the remains on Friday. She told them he refused her offer for a ride and that he was heavily intoxicated.

Human remains identified as missing KCK man

The Sheriff's Office said Boyd's remains were found at Big Eleven Lake near 11th and Washington streets. His family told authorities that he was known to visit the area.
