Why was this baby taken off the mother in the first place?
Form the article it looks like the boyfriend is a druggie loser who needs his a$$ beat and the girlfriend was neglectful. How can you look at your own baby and neglect him? Here's an update.

HENDERSON, Ky. — Renee Terrell talked often about getting her infant son back, telling friends just Saturday that she planned to take him and flee to New Mexico, a neighbor said yesterday.

HENDERSON, Ky. — Renee Terrell talked often about getting her infant son back, telling friends just Saturday that she planned to take him and flee to New Mexico, a neighbor said yesterday.

But Jean Davis, 38, who lives down the street from Terrell and her boyfriend, Christopher Wayne Luttrell, said she never believed Terrell would actually take the baby.

"Davis said Terrell has three other children, but none of them live with their mother, who neighbors said did not work because of a disability. A fifth child died in its crib, Davis said."

Terrell has 5 kids all together. 3 who don't live with her, 1 who is developmentally disabled abd in foster care and who she has now kidnapped, and a 5th who passed away as a baby. She must have some really bad luck.

Wonder if this (goofy) mother thought she'd knock the woman unconscience and take off with the baby but of course this poor woman died, she was 67 afterall. Of course it could've been her boyfriend too. Such a shame :(

The youngest was going to be put up for adoption and she had just found out not long before this visit.

I wonder about the cause of death for the one who died in the crib.

Our social workers have a sheriff deputy who escorts them in situations like this. We have a full time deputy assigned to our agency.

It's a shame that it has to be that way but better safe than sorry.

HENDERSON, Ky. — Kentucky police think they have their first break in the hunt for a two suspects wanted in the vicious murder of a social worker and the kidnapping of a disabled 10-month-old boy.

A videotape taken late Tuesday at a southern Illinois gas station appears to show one of the suspects, Christopher Wayne Luttrell, 23, getting out of the victim's car to pump gas, police said. A trace of the credit card used by the man showed it, too, belongs to the victim.

The other suspect, Renee Terrell, 33, and the boy's mother, also was reported spotted in southern Illinois, police said.

I doubt it, in the article it says several blunt force traumas and lacerations. So it sounds like a planned attack by this "mother" and her 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 boyfriend.

I am not sure I understand how this situation came about.
Does the Social Worker pick the child up from Foster Parents
and then Take the child to the home of the "non custodial" parent
for a visit?
This just seems to dangerous all the way around.
I am sure most of the "non Custodial" parents have issues, and are
angry ect. that they don't have thier child. (not saying that they
should have them) so why on earth would the visit not be
arranged in a neutral and safe inviorment?
If the "non custodial" parent wants to see the child they should have to put the effort into the visit.
I pray this baby is found and is okay.

I was under the impression that supervised visits occured on a neutral territory and not in the "parents" home. the daughter of the social worker was on the today show this morning and she was so heartbroken over her mothers death. I really belive that if this baby is not found soon, he will be killed to simply b/c he will be in the way and they won't want to bother with him anymore.

I think it's probable that this mother is developmentally disabled and her boyfriend is most probably low-normal intelligence. The child that they've taken is also developmentally disabled, and it's probably rather severe since the diagnosis was made before 10 months of age.

Not likely that the two will remain at large for very long but entirely possible they may harm someone else before they're apprehended, in their efforts to flee.

I doubt either of these 2 adults is capable of adequately caring for the baby.

Sometimes life is just so sad.

Is the boyfriend the father of the baby?

I wish these people had taken her statements seriously. I believe this baby is in danger since he is not only with the mother who neglected him as a newborn but he is also with a criminal who is not his father. Anything could happen. Prayers for Saige.

I'm guessing that "goofy" and "childlike" translate into developmentally disabled. One of the articles did mention that mom has a disability, and it would explain the early diagnosis of the infant as well.

Also, I'm thinking that the mom's disability may be why the visit was occurring at home rather than a neutral place. When social services removes a child, visitation is the parents right and if the parent is disabled, social services has to make accomodations for the parent.

No, police say that the everloving crap was beaten out of this poor woman. She died of massive head injuries. The mother is absolutely unfit and dangerous along with her loser of a boyfriend who most probably murdered the SW.

They are in the SW's car and have used her credit card to fill up on gas. They are pathetic and should receive the death penalty once caught...and they will be caught.

Developmentally disabled and evil are not synonymous, and I would say this so-called mother (baby machine) and her boyfriend fall in both categories. Sounds like this poor child has had very little good happen to him in his short lifetime. I hope he is found alive and placed in a loving home for the rest of his life.

That makes a lot more sense than sending out a grandma-aged woman with a baby, to a couple who've lost custody of their child!
