imo, the neighbors in the article should be charged as accesories since they knew they were planning this and never told authorities, if this child dies it is on their heads too along with Boni's death

I agree with you. Someone should have said something before this happened.

The social worker was beaten to death, I have heard. And that the baby was about to be put up for adoption, and that caused the "mother" to snap.

What I want to know is, why did the courts even allow visits with the mother? Seems like they should have terminated her parental rights, and adopted the baby out to a family that could properly care for him. Whats the point of letting her see the baby if they intended on adopting him out?

This woman is such a piece of crap. I imagine her kids are probably all from different fathers too. They should do mandatory sterilization on any woman who has more than 3 kids from 3 different fathers, or any woman who loses custody of 2 more kids.

If the parents who have lost custody want to visit their children, let them do so in a secure location with an armed sheriff nearby. Honestly, if they have done such a poor job as parents that they have lost custody--why do we then bend it over to make it convenient for them to visit with the child? Do we really think that is better for the child no matter what the risks are to the child or anyone else?

I know it is so much harder in rural areas to catch people but still...this is just sickening.

She does. Out of 5 kids one died as an infant, 3 have been taken and adopted out and the last one has been kidnapped by her and her winner boyfriend

The mother has a history--a serious history. She isn't capable of taking care of the babies she has given birth to, and has lost all of them to state custody, except for the one that died as an infant.

Seems no doubt that state social services were aware of her pregnacy with Saige, and were ready to intervene as early as problems with Saige's care developed, which were within 2 weeks of his birth.

The mother appears to be mentally retarded and incapable of adequately taking care of a baby or child. I suspect her boyfriend is in the same category. Saige has already been diagnosed as developmentally delayed, which indicates a serious delay, indeed, since the delay was recognized before 10 months of age.

The mother and her boyfriend will probably end up in prison, where they'll be abused in addition to abuse they've probably already suffered during their young lives.

Baby Saige will hopefully be adopted by a loving family capable and willing to deal with his lifetime of difficulties ahead. Pray that he'll receive the guidance and supervision that will prevent his repeating all this tragedy when he's an adult.

The boyfriend did resist arrest but eventually was apprehended as well as the mother. More will be on our local news at 10:00. It sounded as if the baby was not harmed. I hope that is the case.

Parents have a lot of rights when their children are removed from their custody, including a trial, visitation, and a reasonable ammount of time allowed for them to recover or change their behaviors.

Parents have rights, so do kids. A woman with a track record of a dead baby, 3 previous kids taken away, and neglecting yet another baby should not have another child in her care, nor have any visitation. That is the problem with the court system and social services. Too much lenency is given to losers like this, now a grandmother is dead and that infant could have been harmed, or killed.

DSS and CPS is not perfect. MANY mistakes get made and children harmed or killed because if an ignorant, or overloaded social worker. Who want to work for DSS or CPS when the pay is 30k a year and it requires a Masters Degree? At least thats what it is in AZ. We have several high profile cases going on right now and all the dead children had visits from CPS. VERY tragic.

Section 8 tenants should be restricted from having more children. Most of them have too many kids already they cannot take care of, drive property taxes up, while decreasing values in their neighborhood.

i think the truth that everyone is tiptoeing around here,, and in the media,, is that this woman is mentally retarded. and judging by the boyfriend's photo, he doesn't look quite all there either. but, here in the most powerful country in the world, we don't want to restrict anyone's freedoms or hurt anyone's feelings so we can't tie her tubes. apparently it's more "ethical" to just let her keep churning out "developmentally disabled" babies just so they can die or be taken by our already overburdened foster care system!

that being said... i don't think they're retarded enough to not qualify for the DP.. they knew what they were doing!
