Les Abramson, a professor of criminal procedure at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law, said the absence of a “no true bill” suggests the grand jury never voted on whether to indict Mattingly and Cosgrove.

Cameron told reporters he would not disclose if he made a recommendation to the panel because of grand jury secrecy rules.

But commonwealth's attorneys in Jefferson County in previous police shootings have disclosed that.

Despite the decision, Cosgrove and Mattingly are not entirely exonerated.
Breonna Taylor: Why homicide charges weren't filed against police
This is a very disturbing turn.

I don't think I have mentioned illegal activity by KW but please quote me if I have and I will respond. I have just posted a link that may have some more info in it. We must post links for facts.
accept my apologies if that was not in one of your post, I have been reading a lot of posts here for the last few days I must have gotten you confused with another poster. a
Please accept my apology.

Why wasn't Walker hit by any of the 32 shots but Breonna got 6 of them? Has that been explained?

Has it ever been established where in BT's apartment, her exact position was in relation to KW, and both of their positions in relation to the front door where the LEO's were located?

Not to my knowledge

Apology accepted. I haven't seen anyone else say it either.

they were in the hallway right outside of the master bedroom and across from the other bedroom (her sisters).

Thats one of the reasons I asked for a floor plan. I've got a pretty good idea where Breonna fell. I am NOT 100% certain but it looks like KW was behind her or left her there and dodged into the bedroom. I'm still looking at pictures. ALL JMO.

The first link, the USA Today article, is very thorough. I wish more people would be informed instead of repeating false narratives online, such as "police were at the wrong address." IMO

To be fair, most people don't have the time to be informed. Unfortunately the media doesn't help. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on this case. It takes a huge effort to wade through the media bias to get at the truth. Most prople don't have the time.

That would be too hard when it's it easier to be outraged because of falsehoods. Besides the wrong address, I've seen she didn't know the ex and she was asleep when she was shot. And this goes for any case where the facts are much different than what we were originally told.

I feel like people who are going to use this case as a rally cry & share their outrage have a responsibility to learn the facts of the case instead of spreading falsehoods. IMO Maybe it takes more time than just sharing a meme, but it is the right thing to do.

Please stay on topic by discussing the No Knock Warrant only as it relates to this case.

Posts debating/discussing the NKWs in general are off topic and will be removed.

Charles Barkley has some interesting thoughts:

.

"I don't think this one was like George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery and things like that," Barkley began. "I feel sad that this young lady lost her life. I think this one was — the no-knock warrant is something we need to get rid of ... across the board. But I am worried to lump all these situations in together."

He continued, "And I just feel bad that the young lady lost her life. But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend shot at the cops and shot a cop. So like I say, even though I am really sorry she lost her life, I just don't think we can put this in the same situation as George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery."

Shaquille O’Neal weighs in on the situation:

. "I have to agree with Charles, this one is sort of lumped in," O'Neal said. "You have to get a warrant signed and some states do allow no-knock warrants. And everyone was asking for murder charges. When you talk about murder, you have to show intent. A homicide occurred and we're sorry a homicide occurred. When you have a warrant signed by the judge, you are doing your job, and I would imagine that you would fire back."

Please do not take this as I am covering for Glover because I am not and I won't but the fact that he was using her address to have packages delivered to is not indicitive of drugs being funneled through her address, LMPD had already been told by the postal inspector who can open packages and see the contents that there were no drugs being funneled through that manner the fact the LMPD lied about that on the warrant application is more of a problem for me.. Breonna made some terrible choices when it came to Glover there is no denying that, but does making a bad choice or a boyfriend, ex boyfriend deserve the death penalty I think not. And you have mentioned illegal activity by her current boyfriend Kenneth Walker can you fill me in on what that was?

No one gave her the death penalty. She was the unfortunate victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If her ex-boyfriend wouldn’t have used her phone number, address, car, etc. she would not have been in that position.

The officers at the door didn’t give her the death penalty. They were simply returning fire after being shot at with one officer shot.

This story seemed to take on a completely different perspective and was presented with bias. It reminded me of the news story about a young man wearing a red hat. By the time it was reported several times over, the "facts" were irrelevant to the "narrative".

Which is why we must remain vigilant in critical analysis of "Main Stream Media" articles when posting links. Is the article presenting actual facts, without bias? Or is it really an "Opinion", with a few carefully chosen "facts", completely out of context?

Breonna Taylor's family attorney Benjamin Crump called for transparency from the Kentucky attorney general and demanded the transcripts of the grand jury proceedings be released. He added there was precedence for releasing the transcripts of a grand jury proceeding, citing the Michael Brown case in Ferguson, Missouri.

Former Kentucky Assistant Attorney General John W. Stewart said the grand jury transcripts should be released, noting a lack of transparency in the Taylor case.

Stewart said that before he heard the decision, he thought it would be a cut and dry case of self-defense and didn't expect any of the officers to be charged. After hearing the facts presented by Cameron, he now feels all three officers -- Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, Detective Myles Cosgrove and former Detective Brett Hankison -- should have been charged in connection with Taylor's death.

Stewart joins the long list of people calling for the grand jury proceedings to be made public, including Kentucky's own Governor Andy Beshear and Louisville's Mayor Greg Fischer.

"If these two officers did not get indicted, then the grand jury testimony ought to be public. You can't hide behind the secrecy of the grand jury," Stewart added.

Breonna Taylor's family attorney believes the Kentucky attorney general's investigation was a coverup

Immediately following the grand jury decision, tweets sprung up all about how Breonna Taylor is not mentioned in the indictment.

Researchers checked the clips of the open court readout of the grand jury's decision. In that readout, Taylor's name is not spoken. They also obtained a copy of the indictment, where Taylor's name once again does not appear.

The three counts of wanton endangerment refer to three people who were in a neighboring apartment. None of the counts Hankison is indicted on are related to Breonna Taylor.

Some experts said the charges have nothing to do with Taylor or her death.

“The officers whose bullets hit Breonna were not indicted," a law professor said. "As for what was read in open court, it appears that Breonna’s name was not mentioned."

Another law professor said: “All 3 of the people who Officer Hankison was charged with endangering were people who were in a different, unrelated apartment.”
