Lebanon Junction where POI was arrested is VERY SMALL. Everyone knows you there. They have a FB page and most people complain about trash cans being knocked over etc. No red lights, a caution light and maybe 3 cops. My dad was from there.

Dogs will stay out searching until noon. Sheriff Tinnell says he personally thinks this could be related to a custodial dispute. Several family members have been brought in & their statements have been recorded. Sheriff says he does not suspect foul play at this point. @WDRBNews

Custody dispute was the first thought that went through my mind as soon as I heard that she lived with grandparents.

Just please be found safe Charlee no matter who you are with.

LEBANON JUNCTION, Ky. (WDRB) -- A family member was taken into custody Friday morning, after a 2-year-old girl disappeared from her Bullitt County home early Thursday.

Police say right now Robert Bailey is considered a person of interest in the case.

Wait: the grandma initially forgot to tell the police that this guy, a felon, had been there?? How in the world would you forget something like that!!

"Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell says the person taken into custody -- Robert Bailey -- was a guest in the home from 11 a.m. on June 6 to 4:30 a.m. on June 7.

Tinnell says the grandmother initially forgot to tell police Bailey was there. He is not a suspect in this case, although Tinnell says he is a convicted felon with an outstanding warrant. He did not say what the warrant was for."

So, grandmother 'forgets' that someone was there all night long after child goes awol? Fishy.
Bailey was taken into custody but is not a suspect in this case? Fishier.
Bad or conflicting reporting. Not helpful...

Where are you sweet baby girl? Why is Penny silent?
She probably was covering for him because he had a warrant out for his arrest, or he wasn't supposed to be there if he's on probation.

I found a FB page for a Robert Bailey from LJ but not sure that is him. Common name in those areas (Bailey- which is also in my family--geez)

Yeah but the safety of your granddaughter whom you have custody of should come first!! If grandma would have “remembered” to tell the police this guy had been there so much time could have been saved in this search.

Heartbreaking. Charlee, you deserve better that this dysfunctional family situation.

Does anyone else find it odd that someone would be visiting and leave the house at 4:30 am? Maybe for work but.......... :(

Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell says Bailey was a guest in the home from 11 p.m. on June 6 to 4:30 a.m. on June 7.

The visitor left at 4:30 am, grandpa went to work at 5:30 am, grandma slept until 10 am.

This entire timeline is beyond odd. Hope the police can get the facts in time to find Charlee safe.

Grandma slept til 10 with a 2 year old in the house????

Yeah I'm really surprised about this. I have a 3 year old that wakes up at 5:30 and I get up with him. I also have a 2 year old that gets up around 7.

Sheriff: Relative is in custody on unrelated warrants. They are questioning him now after finding out he was in the home from 11 the night before to 4:30 yesterday morning. The search continues for 2-year-old Charlee. @WHAS11

I guess a grandma who “forgets” to mention to police that there was a convicted felon houseguest who spent the night would probably think nothing of sleeping until 10 am.

Maybe she forgot to set her alarm. Maybe there are other details she forgot too.

Please help me understand these statements from an article at WDRB.com
Family member in custody as search continues for missing girl in Bullitt County

"Police say right now Robert Bailey is considered a person of interest in the case. "

Then from the same article:

"Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell says Bailey was a guest in the home from 11 p.m. on June 6 to 4:30 a.m. on June 7.

Tinnell says the grandmother initially forgot to tell police Bailey was there. He is not a suspect in this case, although Tinnell says he is a convicted felon with an outstanding warrant. He did not say what the warrant was for. "

Is he a person of interest or no?

I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that the grandma “initially forgot” to tell police he spent the night in the house. You know the police would have asked right away who all had been in and out of the house.

I don't think that Robert Bailey has anything to do with her disappearance. I think the reason grandma conveniently forgot was because he had warrants out for him and she was covering for him being there. Otherwise the grandma would have called him out right away. I think she was trying to keep him out of it because either she knows more than she's telling, or that she has an idea who might have taken her. Remember the grandfather says he saw Charlee at 5:30am when he left for work unless somehow all 3 in the house are suspect. Just an opinion.

But maybe that explains why grandma overslept. If she had a visitor show up at 11:00pm I’m sure that disturbed the house. And I haven’t seen anywhere the ages of the grandparents so maybe they are on the younger side and they all stayed up to party?
