They have started robbing houses.

Cheyenne Phillips, 13, and boyfriend Dalton Hayes, 18, have been on the run since they left home Jan. 3. They have stolen cars, forged checks and robbed homes in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, police said.

robbery
shoplifting
writing bad checks
stealing guns
stealing vehicles
property damage

I hope they both get charged as adults.......

I think they are having a hard time finding them because by the time the word gets out to be on the lookout for these people and the vehicle they are driving, they are already out of the state.

They mainly just gave a break down of the details associated with the teens, and then they took comments from people thru social media. Most of the comments were slamming the two sets of parents for letting these two hang out together to begin with.

Although I haven't read any of the SM, I have a difficult time trying to figure out what the parents are thinking, too. JMO, their interviews in MSM are bizarre. These two children are freaking dangerous! :jail:

Came for Bonnie and Clyde reference.

It won't take long with that gun to edge over into armed robbery and murder.

But Norman Chaffins, the sheriff of Grayson County in Kentucky, where the pair disappeared nearly two weeks ago, did not want to tip off the teens by disclosing the specific town.

They have so far eluded capture and are now believed to be cruising around in a stolen truck with two guns.

"There's going to come a time when we're not going to see him as an 18-year-old kid," Chaffins said.

"We're going to see him as someone who's stolen three vehicles with two handguns in them, and the outcome is not going to be good for either one of them if they don't turn themselves in."

Hayes and Phillips vanished Jan. 3 from their small hometown in western Kentucky, the sheriff said. Since then, authorities believe the two have traveled to South Carolina and Georgia.

Sounds like the sheriff is getting a little tired of the chase......................

This story about the "Bonnie & Clyde" has now been on national news and even local here in San Diego using the same term of B&C. IMO the media needs to stop making the comparison as I'm sure they are thriving on the adrenaline and attention it gives them. For that reason alone I can see a bad outcome with their capture. Hope I'm wrong :/

Why would the sheriff even think they would be willing to turn themselves in???
They have been on the run for 2 weeks already.

At this point, they are not going to.

They have already started breaking into homes. let's hope it does not escalate to armed robbery.

Sadly, they have lots of reasons to keep running at this point. Dalton is headed for the slammer for a bevy of charges and Cheyennes parents said in national media she was known to be a liar. Daltons Mom has called her a liar as well. She doesn't sound like she's got much to come home to. Neither does Dalton.
Makes me very sad for those two and it worries me for whom may cross their path.

Both of them pretty much threw their lives away for a multi state crime spree.

Given the nature of the crimes it makes me wonder if they will charge cheyenne as an adult.

They have two felonies each, I believe for stealing the vehicles.

I hope however many people they have victimized at this point decides to file charges.

They do not need to get away with anything.

And if they are asking for money, I bet cheyenne know how to turn on the charm and get people to give them money.

They also might be traveling at nighttime too.

ok, someone else chime in, I can't be the only person talking about this. LOL

I heard today on Fox that they can have federal charges brought against them.

And I imagine they are going to charge him with statutory rape since she is underage.

I agree. Cheyenne doesn't appear to be a 13 year old innocent. I wonder how quick she'll turn on him if they get caught?

Nothing of importance to add here... except I'm beginning to wonder about the parents of BOTH of these teens. I get it that there are some good parents who have kids who are a 'handful' --- but it seems like these two were together long enough for someone to take notice, and at the very least find out how old Cheyenne is. Smh.

yep, they have been together for three months. that's plenty of time to realize how old this 13 year old posing at a 19 year old is.

I have to agree that was plenty of time for all the parents to realize the age difference. I just hope and pray this all comes to an end where no one is hurt. Even though this 13 year old girl is making choices of her own free will and will need to pay for those choices, she is still only 13 and has no way to fully understanding the magnitude of what she is doing.
