I've thought about the nail being deliberately put in her tire too. people don't usually have flat tires and vanish. Possible not probable.

Perhaps, but I remember as a poor college student getting a nail stuck in my tire. I called my dad who advised me to leave it as most likely the air would leak out slowly thus giving me 2-3 days of driving time. Of course, this was in the 80's so perhaps tires/cars were hardier then? Also, he said to stay on city roads, not the interstate. I took it to the tire shop 5-7 days later to have it patched. My point is nail in the tread does not automatically equal quick flat.

In the first NG transcript, an unidentified female stated " the tireS were flat". Also, whoever harmed CR could have left the car on the highway and placed the nail in there, not necessarily driving on the nail. AND...CR (IMO) was not driving or in the car.

So many scenarios. None of them good.

I can't stop thinking about CR.

WDRB 41 - The search contines
"Her father and others are searching a Willisburg farm with cadaver dogs hoping to find clues about her disappearance. It's a property her family says Rogers' boyfriend Brooks Houck had looked at."

http://www.wdrb.com/story/29619180/weekend-search-scheduled-for-missing-mother-of-five-in-nelson-county
"The family is not cooperating at all," said Ballard.*"They won't have anything to do with us. They won't let us on the farm. They've turned us down flat unless we have a search warrant."

WTH are they hiding? JMO

Jmo but i dont think whatever happened was an unplanned event in the heat of an argument. Too many signs lead me to believe this was very very well planned out in advance. Plus no blood stains found anywhere that we know of so it didnt happen in their house.
Unless he strangled or choked her. Or he may have drugged her.

I can't stop thinking about what the poor child had seen :(

...and the car ... jmo again...nothing more than part of the staged plan.... perfect strategy for leading folks in the wrong direction from the beginning
I'm still very curious if the seat was moved back or in the position Crystal would usually sit.

Ha I did the same thing! I had one in my jeep and they were huge tires and it actually acted like a plug and I never had to get it patched. I must've drove on it for about two years before getting new tires before selling it. I also had one in my focus and it slowly leaked for a few days before I finally had time to get it patched. You're right though, nails in the tread usually take longer for the tire to deflate than if it were in the side.

Someone mentioned up thread about whether something was confirmed by LE or family members and then I started thinking to myself: has LE really confirmed ANYTHING? Other than the initial reports of how the car was found and the open letter from Chief McCubbins, they haven't really said anything. Even with the receipt from Walmart, that was provided by her father. The majority of what we know was given by her family. Nelson Co SO has been really quiet. It's really frustrating because that's what they did with the previous three unsolved murders. Then they get irritated with locals because they start talking but they make it really hard to have any faith in their capabilities.

I hope that little boy didn't see what happened. I can't imagine how heartbroken her kids must be. Especially the 2 year old because they don't really understand the concept of "mommy's not coming home." It's sad.

BBM

--we haven't heard if LE took a look around their house or not, they certainly didn't w/ a search warrant.

--if something did occur at the house, and there was blood---he had plenty of time between Friday night and when she was reported missing on Sunday, to clean it up.

--there are also other methods, strangulation for example, that wouldn't necessarily leave blood evidence.

Long time lurker, first time poster! For once I've arrived at the beginning of a case...and when I saw BH on NG all my spidey senses were tingling, for sure. So evasive, all the extra irrelevant details, etc., as everyone else has noted. All of the questions everyone here have raised seem so obvious but I guess we have no way of knowing whether LE has asked those questions of BH. Would love to know if they've been asked. I was frustrated listening to the NG interview because she should have just let him ramble instead of gabbling on himself.

I don't think poor CR will be found for a long time either :(. Like so many here have said, he's just too smug :(.

The news media has no new updates, law enforcement is quiet, and this thread has slowed down to a crawl...........that's a bad combination.

That's exactly what happened in the Erin Corwin case. We heard nothing ...
BUT, it was because LE already knew who "likely" killed her and were conducting a behind the scenes investigation. They found her body down a mine shaft :frown:

Hopefully LE is on to something and being careful not to compromise the case.
But I don't know about this one... Totally different circumstances.

I'm still wondering if anyone has actually spoken to the two year old. It could be very telling IMO, MOO. Her family needs closure. I wish I was closer so I could help search.
