I've thought about the nail being deliberately put in her tire too. people don't usually have flat tires and vanish. Possible not probable.

"The family is not cooperating at all," said Ballard.*"They won't have anything to do with us. They won't let us on the farm. They've turned us down flat unless we have a search warrant."WDRB 41 - The search contines
"Her father and others are searching a Willisburg farm with cadaver dogs hoping to find clues about her disappearance. It's a property her family says Rogers' boyfriend Brooks Houck had looked at."

Unless he strangled or choked her. Or he may have drugged her.Jmo but i dont think whatever happened was an unplanned event in the heat of an argument. Too many signs lead me to believe this was very very well planned out in advance. Plus no blood stains found anywhere that we know of so it didnt happen in their house.
I'm still very curious if the seat was moved back or in the position Crystal would usually sit....and the car ... jmo again...nothing more than part of the staged plan.... perfect strategy for leading folks in the wrong direction from the beginning
Perhaps, but I remember as a poor college student getting a nail stuck in my tire. I called my dad who advised me to leave it as most likely the air would leak out slowly thus giving me 2-3 days of driving time. Of course, this was in the 80's so perhaps tires/cars were hardier then? Also, he said to stay on city roads, not the interstate. I took it to the tire shop 5-7 days later to have it patched. My point is nail in the tread does not automatically equal quick flat.

Long time lurker, first time poster! For once I've arrived at the beginning of a case...and when I saw BH on NG all my spidey senses were tingling, for sure. So evasive, all the extra irrelevant details, etc., as everyone else has noted. All of the questions everyone here have raised seem so obvious but I guess we have no way of knowing whether LE has asked those questions of BH. Would love to know if they've been asked. I was frustrated listening to the NG interview because she should have just let him ramble instead of gabbling on himself.
I don't think poor CR will be found for a long time either. Like so many here have said, he's just too smug
.
That is kind of a creepy coincidence to say the leastI know it is probably just coincidence, but Larissa Sam disappeared under similar circumstances, I.e. Flat tire, keys and phone in car, and that happened in Indianapolis, only a few hundred miles away. http://fox59.com/2015/06/25/missing-police-search-for-missing-23-year-old-larissa-sam/
The news media has no new updates, law enforcement is quiet, and this thread has slowed down to a crawl...........that's a bad combination.
Yup. Pretty convenient!!I just keep reminding myself this guy has a brother who is on police force and bh wanted same so there is knowledge about how to stage things ... btw remember Celina Cass? 4 years ago today and no one ever convicted. idk. Just so frustrated with the absolute silence.
