Did he also slip up when he said if there are still lights on he's gonna stay up "with me"? Seems to be in line with the theory that HE was the one staying up playing games on the phone.

I caught that too! "With ME"....

By the way, I have two kids. My kids would pass out on the floor if they were up that late. I remember having to carry them to the car from a friend's house many times because it got too late for them. And I'm talking about 10 p.m. If a kid is staying up until midnight, something is wrong. I mean, this is a 2-year-old.

It depends on the kid. Some kids have a very hard time getting to sleep, no matter how hard the parents try to get them to settle down with bedtime stories, rocking, etc. in those cases, some parents just give up and stay up with the child until the child starts showing signs of readiness to sleep.

Actually, my 2 year old was up until 11:30-midnight all weekend for some reason. It's very out of character for him, as he's usually in bed by 8pm and sleeps all night, but he was up all night these last 2 nights. I guess I'm just saying it could have been a fluke for that baby to be awake, or perhaps he takes very late naps or wakes up later in the morning.

Not saying the boyfriend's actions aren't suspicious though.

It happens with my 2 year old too sometimes. Wish I had his energy lol.

But I think their child was up for other reasons than simply playing. Poor thing :(

I agree, this appears to have been a carefully planned "disappearance". IMHO the least likely place she would be found is anywhere near her car. The fact that he has an equipment rental business is very concerning. He could have dug a deep hole anywhere and disposed of her body. As far as his being cooperative, well of course he is. He worked his plan and now he is selling it. They need to bring in state police or the FBI.
I agree 100%

I do agree. The boyfriend reminds me of someone from a corny crime-drama. Someone who is buddy-buddy with LE and feels like he can literally get away with murder....I'll be the first to apologize if he's innocent.

Good catch!!
Is he the only one who has stated that his polygraph test came back as inconclusive or has this been stated by anyone else publically?

Thanks Ros! :)

I mentioned this before but I have followed other cases where it has been said that person taking the poly passed and was completely opposite. Maybe hoping the person will slip up?

I'm wondering this too.

"I'm 100 percent, completely innocent in this,” he told HLN’sNancy Grace, adding that his search efforts have been done "behind the scenes."

Behind the scenes as in doing drive bys in police cars....

“He's had no emotion. it’s like nothing has changed for him. And to us, our whole world has changed,” Sherry Ballard said.

“I know she wasn’t in that car,” said her father, Tommy Ballard.

Even though the polygraph was inconclusive, that doesn't mean they can't gain information from it. LE will ignore the areas where he was obviously telling the truth and focus in on the areas where there may have been deception.

Shortly after he took the polygraph, they stormed the family farm with a warrant in hand. I'm assuming something which showed up on that polygraph may have been a red flag, and even though it wasn't flat out deception, it was close enough to cause them to take a second look and convince a judge that it was viable. Apparently it didn't pan out.........yet.

Trying to figure out what and when it happened. Seems to make sense they were out to the farm because as stated up thread why would they be involved if she was not there so I agree on that.

Then I think she was in her car because all of her things were there unless they were placed in the car to look like she was driving.

Did she ever return to her home that night? Honestly I don't think she was there.

I do wonder where the two year old was during all of this. If he was with his parents did he see what happened?

If they went to the party in Crystal's car then they all three left in that car. What about the 2 year old?

Going back a bit I believed she was home and was playing games and he left a sleeping child to get rid of the car. I don't believe she made it home from the party but I wonder if anybody saw that car or somebody else coming and going that night.

I wonder if there are security cameras in that neighborhood since a lot of people now have them and they are out in the country.

A mystery for sure.

Mother-of-Five Missing for 10 Days; Family Casts Suspicions on Boyfriend

Snipped:

"The stories just don't add up," Rogers' sister Brooke Ballard told ABC News. "You just don't go to bed one night and not know she's gone and then not worry when she left the baby."

The ole flat tire story, woman alone off the highway flat tire, her phone is dead too, husband at home with the kids. Welp it is better than "she went out for a jog and didn't come back" or "she went for a walk".

First things first, was the tire organically flat or are we talking stab wound.

Could very well be that she was going out and he knew she was going out, he made a hole in her tire, then followed her until she pulled over,
he pulls up behind her and grabs her. He is the perp and covered his tracks by acting out what a random attack would look like.
This story is something a person would come up with a situation that looks random, just like those that take a significant other to a cliff to
see the view and then oops the person falls, or a hole in a kayak that was previously there, a fall off a cruise ship. IMO

I hope I am wrong.
