This is a pic of the US431 Green River bridge in McLean County, KY -- I Googled it, and this is what was shown, so I assume it is the bridge where she had the accident. If this is so, IMO she had to have fallen into the water.
Hoping she was able to get out of the river successfully.
I guess we should hear the news when there is something to report.
A pretty young woman. Prayers for her, those who love her, and the investigators of this crash and search.

Another possibility is that she was below this bridge, on 1st St. in Livermore, and crashed into one of the piers:

IMO, there is a lot more to the story than has been initial reported by MSM. Reading the comments on the Sheriff’s FB post by family (some have since been deleted). I hope they are able to find her safe.

Officials say several agencies are actively searching the Green River.

Troopers tell us Kolle’s son was with her at the time. He was found by police on the riverbank, soaking wet.
I didn't mention it earlier as I wasn't sure it pertained, but if you look at her legal history in the IN judicial system, she has a few vehicle infractions, not uncommon for a young person, but one very recently was for not having a child less than 8 years restrained in the vehicle as required. I'm afraid with the news he was found that the car went into the water (the articles aren't clear if the vehicle was found). So glad he is safe and hope his Mom is found soon. This is what the bridge looks like in both directions. That looks like a significant drop, I am glad her son is okay.

The search continued Tuesday for an Evansville mother who went missing following an apparent car crash near the Green River Bridge in Kentucky, a state police official said.

Elza Jo Kolle, 28, was last seen at approximately 11:30 p.m. Saturday in McLean County, Kentucky, following the apparent wreck on U.S. 431, according to Kentucky State Police spokesman Corey King.

King said investigators safely located Kolle's young son, who was with her during the crash, along the banks of the Green River. But, police fear Kolle may have wound up in the water.

"We have searched even using canines to help, but nothing so far," King told the Courier & Press Monday evening.

Her young son was able to provide investigators with information about what happened during and after the crash. King said that information is guiding the investigation.

Oh no....
Authorities say Kolle's son was with her. It is believed by law enforcement that she walked off the bridge, down to the river, and entered the water with her son.... His mother is believed to have disappeared in the river, according to investigators.

Was she trying to go off bridge but didnt go over so instead walked to water to drown herself? Odd. Thank god she didnt pull her son in.
Or head injury created strange behaviour? Not sure whats going on here.

She walked off the bridge? Her poor son ugh I'm happy that he made it out of the water but what an ordeal that must have been for him.

There seem to be no pictures or video of the crashed car to set the record straight on just where she crashed. My guess is the car was towed away before the media were notified.

That seems like the best guess to me. Good for her son to get out alive - but I'm sure that will be a lifelong trauma
