GUILTY KY - Hart Co., Dismembered body in container in Green River, Jul'16 - Kristen Edwards

I am assuming that this is allowed since it was shared by Kristen herself. If it's not, let me know.

That person should not be named. He has not been identified as a suspect or POI by LE and we shouldn't name him here. You should edit your post to remove name, imo.

I haven't heard anyone mention him except for a few "pray for him his children just lost their mother" type comments. Since he has not been named as a suspect, I don't believe we can discuss anything about him.

I agree we can't really discussed him personally, but I have found it strange that the news is so quiet about the investigation into Kristen's murder in general and no mention of him in particular. No interviews in the press, no mention from friends/relatives, no LE mention...nothing.

Anyway, I'm hoping the body found in the toolbox will be able to be identified, though it's painful to know another family is going to receive heartbreaking news.

Until the two bodies are confirmed to be unrelated cases, I can't help but wonder if they are.

JMopinion, speculating.

Actually, it's her profile. I just found a website that scrapes Facebook data and it has a scraped page from March 21st where Kristen posted an engagement ring set for sale. If you click on the name, it goes to her current profile. That explains why I couldn't find the profile anywhere. It belongs to Kristen.

I'm going to look for the original post in one of the groups she was in.

I know, but you shared his name in your post. He's not a named suspect.

I couldn't find the original post for the engagement ring sale (probably on a private sale page) but if the scraped page is accurate, she sold or wanted to sell an engagement ring on March 21st of this year stating that she needed money and then reports a 50 inch TV that she "just purchased" as stolen only 3 days after that. Weird.

I think these past several weeks were not easy ones for Kristen. What the heck happened?!?

Yeah, her family stated that she was battling a drug addiction so her life seemed rather tumultuous. There's a part of me that wonders if something went down with her dealer that ended in her dying. Overdose has gone through my head but why the heck would someone dismember her after that? I just hope answers come out at some point and her family gets some closure and justice.

idk why anyone would dismember an OD'd person, but it happened to Jessica berry too (in OH) and another lady in Canada (forget the name)

should we make a post for this new dismembered victim?

Also....if any locals can share info on how close these two places are to each other. I'm searching maps, but local insight would be great.

They are technically in adjoining counties (Grayson/Hart) so they aren't very far as the crow flies, but Google said it's about a 1-hr (+/-) drive.

22 year old (at a loss for words) ...:tears::tears::tears:My own son is 22

I'm not seeing any updates on the identification of the male body found in the tool box. Anyone else seeing anything reported?

Does he have a thread?

Probably unrelated to Kristen's case, but I'll post it "just in case" anyone can find a connection. A man was shot near where Kristen was found (and near where the man in the toolbox was recently found in a creek, though that victim seems to be unrelated to Kristen's case - unconfirmed).

The area seems to be quiet and not used to crime, yet three violent murders have happened recently.

Ronald Dale West, 39, of Horse Cave, was found dead of a gunshot wound at 120 Margaret St. in Horse Cave.

RIP Ronald.

I'm not finding any updates on investigation into Kristen Edward's dismemberment case. :(

I can't find anything new about Kristen's case either. :( I really wonder how the investigation is going, do they have fingerprints from the plastic? Have they even done toxicology reports? It just seems like her case dropped off the radar.

I used to feel the same about my area. There's been four significant unsolved crimes around here over the past few years. A cop was basically assassinated on his way home from work. A schoolteacher and her teenage daughter were slaughtered in their own home. The girlfriend of a cop (whom I went to school with) disappears after leaving their car alongside the BG Pkwy.

I honestly think many/most of the south/central Kentucky cases are unrelated.

I've also noticed some UID's found in that area who were more-than-likely related to these missing girls.

Many of these girls were found in Hart County, or within a county N/S/E/W of Hart.

She was an addict...they're not going to waste much time trying to figure it out.

Editing to say that what I am guessing, and not my personal opinion.

The bag in which Kristen's body was found looks quite distinctive. People in the area should maybe circulate that photo of it.
I heard it was first located by some Amish boys who told the fisherman, and he then investigated. May the perpetrator
of this awful crime be found and brought to justice.

Interesting. Do you have a link with that info?

Hi Kaley Smith

I heard that too, but did not post it, because I did not have a link to it...

Could you possibly find one for WS please?

Thanks ~
