KY - Joseph Brock, 2, deceased in house fire, London, March 30 2019. Father sought. *Arrest*

All along I've been assuming he was cooking meth and blew the place up. Do charges of murder and arson fit that scenario?

Originally local news reported he was wanted on charges occurring prior to the fire. I took them to mean he missed a court appearance (see booking info) & to not scare him off regarding the fire incident, so they remained mum on the arson/murder.
Nothing reported yet as to the cause of the fire or if his son died due to fire/smoke or if his father murdered him, setting fire to hopefully conceal his murderous actions.
So glad they caught him.
He’s got a bright future ahead at KY State Pen.

Omg! The little boy was found in the washing machine.
His murderer said the boy had been acting up. I guess prior to dad getting high & falling asleep.
A washing machine? Omg
Dad has burns and blisters on his hand (imo from starting the fire).
More here:

Court documents: Boy found in washing machine after deadly fire

May this man never enjoy one second of his life again & forever be haunted by his actions.

I'd heard a rumor to that effect, but was hoping it wasn't true.

He put his son in a flippin washing machine? I’d better leave this thread & zip my lip. What a lowlife piece of scum this “father” is. I wonder where mom is.

Idk how mom can ever get past this.
No cause of death revealed, to my knowledge.
Omg, I, too, need zip my lips.
How horribly sad for Joseph.
Do people doing this stuff not realize they have alternatives?

The dad tried to tell police during questioning he burnt his hand on the baby gate. Which is not consistent with his burn. He probably killed him before he passed out because he was "acting up".

He did say Joseph had been acting up & he didn’t know he was in the washing machine.
Just sick.
Have you heard any word about the mom?

I think maybe Joseph was annoying his dad, dad was high, put his son in the Maytag, fell asleep & upon waking decided to torch the house.

Oh, daddy has no idea what his life will be like at the KY State Reformatory......
He might not wanna sign on for laundry detail.

UPDATE: Father pleads not guilty in toddler son's death - ABC 36 News

According to court documents, the fire started in the living room near a couch and that the fire did not appear electrical in nature.

Kentucky State Police detectives say during an interview with Brock, he told them he smoked a joint and fell asleep on the couch with his son, Joseph.

He says he woke up to fire, intense heat and smoke everywhere.

According to court documents, Brock told detectives he couldn’t find his son so he ran from the home.

Laurel Co. man appears in court, pleads not guilty in son's murder

People in the Reams Lane trailer park are struggling to deal with what they saw and experienced early last Saturday morning.

"I mean I could hear that baby screaming to the top of his lungs," said Kevin Rice, a neighbor.

Troopers: Laurel County toddler found in washing machine in deadly fire

Brock had blisters on his ring and middle finger on his right hand but no other injuries. He would claim the burns came from a baby gate when he tried to cross it, but investigators say that was inconsistent with his injuries.

OMG...The neighbors heard the baby screaming?

The obituary indicated little Joseph had a brother and sister also.

Okay, google WLEX later, link not up yet for me to post.

Paternal grandma said her grandson started the fire with a lighter & climbed into the washing machine so he wouldn’t get in trouble. Dad still in jail, had court today. More, later.

Righto!

Think grandma needs to get back to reality.
Jmo and all that jazz.

I know we all grieve different and can say things that may sound odd but I don’t think this baby started the fire then climbed into the washer. Not buying it.

Ditto. Even if the poor child did start the fire, he would not have been able to do so if daddy was not passed out from his reefer. Kids need supervision.
Supervision, lol. Daddy is going to learn the definition of supervision. Moo

That angers me.

IMO she’s concerned for her son, she’s well aware of the public sentiment. Daddy doesn’t look really bright, imo.
Mom knows his butt is going to KY penitentiary for a long, long time. His days as a pot smoking couch potato went up,in smoke.

ETA: I think I heard he was found under a bed in his mom’s apartment. Not 100% sure as I was outside & only caught a bit of the news thru an open window.
