:banghead: :banghead: :furious: What is it with all these women who just hapharzardly leave their babies with "boyfriends"? This just makes me sick. Don't they have mothers, sisters, girlfriends or someone else to leave their precious babies with? It just makes me so mad everytime I hear about a precious life brutally taken away by a boyfriend of the mother.
It truly is epidemic and stems from ignorance.

Many of them think nothing of just leaving the kids alone. We had a horrible accident here years ago where a 10 year old was left in charge of like 5 younger brother/sisters/cousins. The mom's had gone out to party. It was during the winter, the wood stove died down and the 10 year old couldn't get it going again, the house was getting cold so he threw gasoline in there. I think he's the only one who survived. The mom's went to jail, but I don't know for how long. It's so sad what so many children have to endure. No, it's beyond sad, it's barbaric.

BTW, I have all the compassion in the world and I fully realize that it takes a horrible childhood to produce people like Gaskins, Bundy, and I'm sorry for what they went through............ BUT I still fully support the death penalty. Glad my state has it and uses it often!

Sorry to disagree, but it doesn't stem from ignorance, it stems from selfishness. The mom's want to go out and they value their freedom/fun over the welfare of their child.

THe mother should be charged right along side of him.
She was no winner either she waited to report her daughter missing because she was worried about protecting her own collective a$$ because she had a warrant for her arrest.

These people are dirt balls. What the heck was she doing leaving her daughter with her criminal boyfriend??
ANd the family member who saw him hit the child "3 times in the car"
Why the hell didn't they call the police then and there????

THis poor child was just not valued by any of them.

Go girl. That is it in a nutshell. Excuses and ignorance is bliss...just doesn't float my boat.

Some of these so-called mothers are anal to say the least. I have 2 kids, a 19 year old daughter & 2 year old son and if somebody hurt them I would not be responsible for my actions. :behindbar I would never and have never left my kids with anyone but family. I am fortunate to have a good family. I think this baby's mother is just as responsible as her boyfriend.

The reality is that there is a great portion of the population that believes hitting/whipping/beating kids is not only okay (after all, that's how THEY were reared and they're not dead) but it's what is supposed to be done to get them to "act right."

The relative probably didn't consider hitting the child out of the norm.

This thought pattern (and the actions that result from it) is, like the rest of this crime, mired in ignorance.

That is very true.

"Spare the rod, spoil the child" is one old wives tale that comes to mind.

So we become just like them....great solution! (If there was an icon for tongue-in-cheek, I'd place it here.)

And don't tell me "well, they started it" - that doesn't fly on the playground with mature adults and it shouldn't fly in our society.

My prayers to the victims of this sad crime.

that is not 'becoming just like them'. i would never hurt someone who couldnt defend themself. heck, i couldnt hurt anyone unless i was defending myself physically. i probably couldnt even personally harm these freaks that hurt, maim, rape and murder children. but i dont lose any sleep when someoelse does it either.

that does not make us like them, that makes us human. the need for revenge is a human emotion, and since our justice system is a massive failure......revenge might be the only solution. especially given these joke sentences we are seeing in the updates belinda is giving us.

I'm assuming not, as there is no assigned earliest parole date. Not sure though.
