I was thinking the same thing. There is such little information about her and the case. Would really like to get more information about her.

Is anyone here able to contact the family for more information? There is a lot missing from what is online: any details about the boyfriend or father, her state of mind (both in general, and at the time of disappearance), her relationship to parents, etc.

Why would anyone suggest "she may be using the name...." if they thought she had been abducted (sounds like that assumes she had run away)? Are they still in touch with boyfriend, what has happened to/with him? Have her classmates/other friends been asked for their input? Etc., etc....

Came across some interesting info about someone close by but not sure how to verify everything etc? Need some help from a better websleuth.

Not sure what you are referring to -- perhaps you could express it as an 'opinion?'

My question is this - does anyone know what she said to her cousin during that phone call?

I have the idea that she was kidnapped by someone known to her, although she may also have been kidnapped by force.

Lydia's brother has a Facebook and is actively searching for her. His most recent post regarding Lydia was only two days ago. I wish this case would get more attention. The lack of media coverage is ridiculous. Lydia was only fourteen and police assumed runaway and did absolutely nothing.

Lexington Police confirm weekend search related to 28-year-old disappearance of teen

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Police Department confirmed Monday on social media that a weekend search related to a missing person’s case was for Lydia Perkins.

She went missing 28 years ago.

“It’s been 28 years, that’s always been an area of speculation. It was right behind the neighborhood,” Justin Perkins, then 14-year-old Lydia Perkin’s brother.

Police are now asking the public for any information about her disappearance.

In the video, police say officers had attempted to search Preston’s Spring Park several years ago, but flooding prevented them from conducting a thorough search.....
