The Hickman Police Department is asking for help locating a missing person.

Nicky Avent was last seen on February the 23rd in Hickman. Avent was possibly seen on the 27th in Hickman at the Marathon gas station.

You should call the Hickman Police Department with any information regarding the whereabouts of Avent, or with any information that might help us locating Avent safely.

Nicky Avent walked out and has been unreachable since, as his phone has been off almost the entire time. He has a mental illness that requires medication, making his disappearance especially concerning.

When he was last seen, he was wearing green and tan Nike shorts, a cream or white shirt, black crew socks, and plain white Nike shoes.

Hickman doesn’t appear to be a very large town, only a population of about 2,300 people. Remains have been found and the only person missing from the area is Nicky. The Coroner will need to determine as it is currently unknown who they may be. An investigation is underway.

On 9/14/25 Hickman Police Department was notified of possible human remains located within the city limits of Hickman. Upon investigation, and in collaboration with the Fulton County Coroner’s Office, it has been determined that the remains are indeed human.
