.
I wonder if they can pinpoint where the phone was when it was turned off @ 8:3o ?
Weird. In the video (@1:24) they state SS's phone went dead after she faceTimed her mom

If she left with 3 strangers & travelled 40 miles, did she really think they would make an 80 mile round trip to return her to her car.

I have a hard time believing she would leave the house (unless in distress) without a ride. If true her phone actually turned off at 8:30am, would it even make sense of her possibly calling an Uber? Or is this area too rural for service there? Or a "friend"? Phone records would be very interesting.

That info came from one of the men she was with. It may not be true, especially given LE officers obtained a search warrant for the house and towed a car. LE would have had to have had some type of probable cause to get the warrant.

Yes, the men's statements should be treated with hesitation. Just trying to see if there could be another explanation. The article linked above mentioned her phone was actually turned off at 8:30am. MOO

The written story states the phone was turned off at 8:30 but the video states the phone went dead after Facetiming her mother. Would be nice to have clarification. Anything is possible but unless she were desperate, terrified, or panicked I can't see SS just walking out the door. It seems possible she called someone to pick her up using another phone and something happened from there. Hoping more info will start coming out from LE.

How can they tell the difference between the phone being turned off and the battery dying?

This is a chilling case. Such a beautiful woman and young mother.

I no longer read any of the comments left on FB groups. or under any news articles.

All it would validate is proof there are many, many, disgusting, cruel minded individuals who live to disparge others.

I saved myself from that heartbreaking knowledge over a year ago. Now I dont give any one of them a second of my time.

I tend to not believe a word of what any of these three men may say.

If she was harmed or worse they certainly aren't going to say she didn't leave. They would say she left of course just like any other possible suspect would do.

I think the police are breathing down the necks of all three who were in the house with Savannah. They are just biding their time and continue to gather evidence. Its obvious in some of the places they are searching for her they no longer believe she is alive.

Left to go where? Imo the only way if she left that home while alive would be if she was able to escape and would then immediately seek help even if it was calling her mom or friend. Yet her phone is turned off instead.

I think all of us know by now is this is not going to end well.

I think she was coerced into getting in the vehicle under the ruse they would take her home. Imo

If they had phone records I am guessing the could tell.

Hope the are finding something. Part of me doesn't want her found via search because I think it would mean the worst but at the same time if it is the worst her family needs to know.
ITA, it's a sad, double edged sword. It's heartbreaking to think those babies will grow up not remembering/knowing their mother. I can't imagine what her family is going through.

I don't have a good feeling here either, and I held out hope for the last few 'found safe' threads I've followed. It's been a joyful thing to see them come home against all odds, so maybe we will get lucky with SS too!

If I was to run smack dab into Savannah on any street I would not recognize her. Every single picture looks different and most news stations are still talking about her with the original missing poster in their hand.
Taken four years ago and she's blonde and very slim and probably 18 years old!

Thanks for posting @oceanblueeyes. This case hasn't garnered the usual attention even here on WS. There has been a lot of victim blaming in SM world and unfortunately those mean spirited and judgmental people don't have much sympathy for SS. :(

There hasn't been much information released by LE at this point. I believe they have an idea of what has happened, but are having trouble locating SS body and maybe they don't have enough evidence to prove 'beyond a reasonable doubt'. IDK JMO

Yes, I think at least one, or all of those men know what happened.
They haven't been named suspects, but it has also been stated that they have not been cleared, in one of the earlier articles.
I hope soon LE will have enough evidence to make an arrest, if they are involved.
I just don't see her leaving that house voluntarily, or at least not alive. Imo

I’m in that area quite often & phone service is never disrupted.

Based on what is known I'm maintaining my original thoughts on this case (even though I was wrong in thinking SS must have been friends with at least one of the 3 men). SS started out with friends but for some reason she ended up alone with 3 men she did not know. They may have offered her something to celebrate getting out, she may have accepted or turned them down. If she accepted the first offer she may also have accepted a second offer which could have distorted her judgement. If she decline the offer they may have put something in her drink. The surveillance pics can be interpreted many ways but if this theory is correct she may have been holding on to one of the men for balance. Her hands look clenched either from cold or anxiety. Her purse is hanging open which seems unusual but given it is a still shot of a second in time she may have been getting something out and closed it. I have to wonder if FaceTiming her mother was her usual mode of communicating or was she getting nervous once she got in the car. I think she either OD'ed and her body hidden or she was murdered. I don't believe she left the house on foot. LE seems focused on the house she was "transported" to. The home owners didn't grant permission for a search. LE had to have probable cause to be granted a search warrant. The fact that that house is the last known place SS was seen (admitted by one of the men) is not enough to gain a search warrant. I can shoot many holes in my theory so I could be wrong. Just sharing my thoughts. JMOx10

Thank you.

This case makes me have horrible flashbacks of when Holly Bobo was kidnapped by Zach Adams and taken back to his home.

During that time several other male criminals were also there with Holly and she was totally helplessly to stop any of them.

Holly left that house of horrors only after they murdered hsr.

I pray it doesn't take as long to find Savannah as it did to find Holly.

I imagine since three men were there they will try to squeeze one of them if they feel he is the weakest link among the 3.

You're right. There is still that possibility. Thanks for the reminder!

This case sounds very much like Lauren Spierer who disappeared near IU's campus.
I have always been suspicious of the friends she was last with and wondered if they panicked, due to an accidental OD.

I’m curious about the FaceTime call. IMO It just doesn’t seem to be a typical mode of communicating with your mom especially when out partying. Most would more likely choose to text because that is the preferred method of communicating for most younger people and it would typically be too loud in a car with other people to hear the conversation.
Which leads me to question if this was typical of SS to facetime her Mom or a was it out of the norm? If the latter, IMO it would indicate to me that she may have sensed that she was in trouble and was trying to send a message to her mom to take notice of who she was with. Her mom stated that SS told her that she would be home in a couple of hours, “I promise”. That may have been a cry for help - her way of saying IF you don't hear from me or I don't make it home -- look for me or call police.
