I’m curious about the FaceTime call. IMO It just doesn’t seem to be a typical mode of communicating with your mom especially when out partying. Most would more likely choose to text because that is the preferred method of communicating for most younger people and it would typically be too loud in a car with other people to hear the conversation.
Which leads me to question if this was typical of SS to facetime her Mom or a was it out of the norm? If the latter, IMO it would indicate to me that she may have sensed that she was in trouble and was trying to send a message to her mom to take notice of who she was with. Her mom stated that SS told her that she would be home in a couple of hours, “I promise”. That may have been a cry for help - her way of saying IF you don't hear from me or I don't make it home -- look for me or call police.

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you posted this! I completely agree. I don't know if you've seen a couple of the other photos or video stills of SS, but she is standing alone and to me she has a sad almost frightened look on her face. I can't recall which post they were in but it was on the previous thread.

Her Facetiming Mom definitely seems like it was a 'look guys, mom knows I'm going to one of your houses and she is expecting me back' kind of thing. I believe she was feeling nervous, even if she was intoxicated.

My thoughts on the FaceTime call is that she had left with the guys willingly, and probably did not fear that she was in danger at that point, and perhaps wasn't in danger at that point.. Had she been taken against her will, I seriously doubt that she would have been allowed to place that FaceTime call. I think her life was in danger after she arrived at that house, although it is possible that she had already been drugged, knowingly or unknowingly, by the time she arrived there. JMO

I agree she left willingly. I don't know why some have trouble with that. She stayed at the bar until closing even though her friend left earlier. She left with three men she didn't know. She made the decision to spend the night with them when she told her mom she would be home in the morning. Those were her decisions. We might not like them but it was her right to make them.

Has it been mentioned if the 3 guys were friends or even knew each other before that night.

Based on what is known I'm maintaining my original thoughts on this case (even though I was wrong in thinking SS must have been friends with at least one of the 3 men). SS started out with friends but for some reason she ended up alone with 3 men she did not know. They may have offered her something to celebrate getting out, she may have accepted or turned them down. If she accepted the first offer she may also have accepted a second offer which could have distorted her judgement. If she decline the offer they may have put something in her drink. The surveillance pics can be interpreted many ways but if this theory is correct she may have been holding on to one of the men for balance. Her hands look clenched either from cold or anxiety. Her purse is hanging open which seems unusual but given it is a still shot of a second in time she may have been getting something out and closed it. I have to wonder if FaceTiming her mother was her usual mode of communicating or was she getting nervous once she got in the car. I think she either OD'ed and her body hidden or she was murdered. I don't believe she left the house on foot. LE seems focused on the house she was "transported" to. The home owners didn't grant permission for a search. LE had to have probable cause to be granted a search warrant. The fact that that house is the last known place SS was seen (admitted by one of the men) is not enough to gain a search warrant. I can shoot many holes in my theory so I could be wrong. Just sharing my thoughts. JMOx10

I think it’s possible any alcohol she consumed hit her hard, she (hopefully) wasn’t drinking during pregnancy, then she had recuperation time, infants in the hospital, etc. so, when she did get out & have a few drinks her tolerance may have been lower than usual. Not to mention running around in the cold, sans coat.
As far as the search warrant, I think LE wouldn’t have searched with permission, that could lead to a messy situation, down the road, imo. If any evidence had been found, a defense lawyer would have a field day with “warrantless search”, imo.
So disappointed the searches turned up nothing. We had two great weather days, now rain is moving in.

Thanks for posting @oceanblueeyes. This case hasn't garnered the usual attention even here on WS. There has been a lot of victim blaming in SM world and unfortunately those mean spirited and judgmental people don't have much sympathy for SS. :(

There hasn't been much information released by LE at this point. I believe they have an idea of what has happened, but are having trouble locating SS body and maybe they don't have enough evidence to prove 'beyond a reasonable doubt'. IDK JMO

I think there's more sympathy out there than you think. I know every time I read about SS it reminds me how lucky my friends and I were so many years ago that our name didn't end up all over the news (considering some of the careless things we did and situations we found ourselves in).

Someone mentioned about SS possibly being drugged...I was once and after that learned to like a bottle of beer or wine cooler instead of drink in an open glass - just so I could keep my thumb in the top as I carried it around in crowded bars. Just Sayin...

Praying that we get good news. MHOO

Did S face time her mom or did her mom contact her? I thought the mom made contact, I remember her saying “I was checking on my daughter.”
I don’t think S thought she was in any danger. If so, upon leaving the bar, she could have easily reached out for help.
There’s people all over downtown Lex., around & at closing time.

The thought may be that once she was away from the bar atmosphere and alone in a car with 3 men she didn't know she may have realized it wasn't the best choice. I don't know if that is the case but it is a possibility.

"Back in Richmond, Ellen said she went to bed that night confident that Savannah would be home when she awoke. Around 3 a.m., Ellen got a FaceTime call from her daughter.

“I got the call and she said she was in Lexington and that everything was fine,” Ellen told "Dateline.""

Glad to hear others are more concerned. :)

We've probably all made choices we wish we hadn't, myself included as a sorority member especially.

Smart thinking on your part with a bottle trick! :D

Every article I've seen said that SS facetimed her Mom.

Exactly. I’ve said since the beginning, this case isn’t “important”, in Lexington. I’m a local & discussed SS in the downtown area, the comments (after finding someone that even heard of her) I heard had nothing to do with concern. Now, had she went missing from the grocery at noon, it’d be entirely different. Imo

I don’t have a link but early on read mom FT S to see where she was. Articles have been edited so you’re probably right.

I agree with the alcohol hitting hard. As far as the warrant the home owners would have had to sign a consent if they would have allowed search without a warrant. It would be similar to being pulled over in a car and consenting to a search. It would hold up in court. But my point was that LE had some type of probable cause to be granted the warrant.
