The Madison County Coroner has confirmed to WKYT that a body was found in a storage facility near where Sheena Baxter's ex-boyfriend lives.

The storage facility is just off of Lancaster Road near the Richmond Church of Christ. That's just down the road from where Joseph Hicks lives.

Wlex update now, body going to ME & will be identified tomorrow. Coroner confirming a body wrapped in plastic was removed from said storage unit, LE now left the scene.

Assuming the body is Sheena, I’m relieved her family has closure. I was concerned that Joe mighta taken a road trip last week, prior to his arrest.

The statement confirms that they have recovered what they believe to be the remains of Sheena Baxter.

My condolences to her family. Rest In Peace, Sheena. :’(

Case Update: Sheena Baxter

Early this afternoon Officers executed a search warrant at a storage facility in Richmond Kentucky as part of the ongoing homicide investigation. Officers discovered what we believe to be the remains of Sheena Baxter. The remains have been removed by the Madison County Coroners office and transported to Frankfort Medical Examiners office.

We ask that you please continue to keep Ms. Baxter’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

This investigation continues.

Heartbreaking. I think we all feared this. MOO but I wouldn't doubt if they were texting prior to him picking her up. IME those types of men are controlling and as a victim you do things to appease them in the hopes it will keep their anger/rage/jealousy at bay. I wouldn't be surprised if he threatened to cause a scene of she didn't come out to talk to him. Ughhh this was terrible news to wake up to.

I don't believe she was giving him any second of her time, to be quite honest. So sad that women keep getting killed because some men can't just understand that they DO NOT own us or any other human being.
