Just tuning in for the day. This is such a bizarre trial and the testimony so far has been pretty confusing. Hope they bring done witnesses soon that tie Josh to the crime somehow because my gut feeling is he's guilty

I've read from Trey's relatives that Trey was afraid of JG (smart kid!). So I can't see Trey going off with the man in the dead of night, alone. I can see Trey being duped into going out that night by his step brother.

I also think the mom was so zonked out that evening that it was easy for JG to wait for the two boys to leave the house and follow them, meet up and beat Trey to death.

I think Josh Young adores his dad. I think he is blind to his father's failings and wants to be just like his old man.

I am wondering if the night run for cigarettes was to cover the crime, as was taking out light bulbs on outside lights. Josh Y, could have very well been following instructions for dear old dad. And why did so many of Josh Y's friends come out and say he had been talking about killing his brother?

To me the jury questions to this ME make me think they are considering both being involved.

He finally admitted it could have been more than one person and the injury to his eye could have come from a punch by a fist.

I read an article posted up-thread with lots of good information on the background of the family and interactions with CPS, etc. It cited court documents. Are there any court documents available to read online? TIA

Did I hear the mother AM say in her testimony that she has visitations with her daughter? So she no longer has custody of her daughter..... Hmmmm

I'm not so sure he is innocent.

In fact I am having more doubt as it goes along.

If JG told JY to meet Trey down at the school grounds in order to murder him then JG would know beforehand he would need an alibi showing he was not down there at the time he was murdered. So now I think that is why he made the late night sex video with Amanda that very night. So I think it is possible he talked Jr. into killing Trey for him.

And now I am even doubting JG saying he is the one that did it. He knew he was going to be convicted anyway on the felony kidnapping charges in Alabama and they are probably going to throw felony armed robbery in the charges before it goes to trial since he forced the poor kidnapped woman to pay for the hotel room. So he knew he was done and was most likely going to spend the rest of his life in prison anyway.

That's pretty much exactly where I am on this. Waiting for evidence to paint a clearer picture one way or the other.

I was actually surprised with how many minors LE said they interviewed that were being held in juvenile detention on other charges.

Yeah, this article is about this morning's defense witness. The guy who when questioned about the number of blows on the victim's body said 'Enough'. The same man who wasn't prepared for today's appearance in court today until the State brought it to his attention that they hadn't yet received a copy of his report/findings that he was going to discuss today.
