A body has been found near Highbridge in Jessamine County. The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office released that an unidentified male was located by the river in a wooded area near Dix Drive and Lock 7. He had no identification on him.

Here is another case that should be solvable but I used some info from NamUs and the media coverage as NamUs only mentioned Pre60 but the age range was 50-70.

Trying to get an better idea about the location, I’ve been down this rabbit hole which has some pictures & information about Lock 7.

I don’t know if it has a great deal of relevance to this case, but I found it interesting to learn a bit of the history of the locks on the Kentucky River.

Deputies asking for help identifying man found dead in Jessamine County

The body of a man found dead near the Kentucky River with nothing in his possession but a pair of wire-framed glasses in his front jacket pocket has still not been identified.

Kentucky State Police and the Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort were able to use fingerprint and DNA technology to identify the person as John “Brett” Kelley, 52. Jessamine County Coroner Michael Hughes said Kelley was from Bardwell.
