Kyron Horman Discussion Thread 2020 - 2022 - #2

Somehow I missed that there were 14 year olds at that school mixed with very young ones. I hope that fact has been thoroughly explored. 14 year olds can be very mean, and their brains are still being formed. As such, they don't often think things through. It is not out of the realm of possibility that Kyron was picked on - he was an easy target with his small frame and poor eyesight.

I would be interested to know if any of the 12-14 year olds during that time frame have gone on to have serious criminal offenses. This connection should not be dismissed, but considered IMO. That box needs to be checked.

Amateur opinion and speculation
That is a great question about the 14yo and seeing what they’ve been up to! I wonder if there is a way to get a class list?

I’m hoping that faculty was interviewed and cleared, but what about extended staff such as janitors and even frequent visitors like vendors. I’d like to know if anyone from outside the school aside from the parents had a scheduled service visit, or delivery that day

Yes faculty was interviewed and it’s claimed they all were cleared. However PPS has a long history of not doing the best background checks and it’s been uncovered a lot of sex offenders worked there in various positions including 2010. The problem is still not fixed.

There are many out there. Here is one where students assaulted a 9 yr old

Holy smokes!!!! Where is the district supervisor in all this? This is beyond outrageous.
That said, you have illustrated why it's important to keep an open mind in this case and look at ALL the possibilities.

Could it be possible that an older kid could've seen that Kyron was doing a project on tree frogs and led Kyron outside under the guise of looking for tree frogs to make his project stand out more and just left Kyron there to get lost and succumb to the elements?

While anything is possible, I speculate Kyron's disappearance was far more premeditated and sinister.
He was an easy target.

I am now quite interested in this church across the street that has been mentioned. Does anyone know if any of the church offices had clear sight to the school playground? Second, I would certainly hope that no RSO's were working there, and that that has been checked.

That is one theory. No one was paying attention to who was coming and going. No doors were monitored.

Hi rosesfromangels. Below is the google map link to the church address. If you move the arrow at the bottom around, you'll see it is directly across from the school as well as the access road where posters indicate the white truck was parked. Further, if you use advancedbackgroundchecks or another address search engine, you'll see those individuals connected to the church. I did recognize one name associated with both the school and church which is the reason I wonder how well it was searched and individuals questioned/looked into.

IN my experience, the older kids were actually more protective of the younger children or children that may not be able to protect themselves as much. My kids go to a school where all the age groups K - 12 are all in the same school building but different areas and hallways depending on their age and grade.

Mostly true.
But there are some older kids who dominate someone weaker.
KH not being reported absent really prevented an adequate search.

Two photos of missing child: Kyron Horman.

Age progressed photos of Kyron Horman ages 14-15 and 19-20.

Maybe the most suspicious thing to me about Terri's movements that Friday morning is the assertion by law enforcement that she parked in the far back of the parking lot at the Walker Rd Fred Meyer.

In the photo below, her parking spot was at the far back of the lot next to the embankment. Why would she park so far from the store on a day when rain was drizzling on and off with temperatures in the 50's and had a sick baby. Because she didn't want anybody or security cameras to see who was in the truck? It doesn't seem like the lot would have been so full on a Friday morning that there weren't any closer spots.

I'm sure LE has a lot more evidence than they've shared but this is one of those pieces they've made public that has always stuck with me.

MOO It matters if that was her habit or not to park far from the door. Did they add that in?

Habit or not, if you have a sick baby that’s been up all night crying for multiple days in a row and it’s cold and raining. As a Mom, you’re going to want a quick entrance, purchase and exit. Not expose your child to inclement weather by parking in the north forty. Makes zero sense.

okay just reading here and after much thinking...

Portland is basically a rainforest and Kyron doesn't even have to walk anywhere to see tree frogs or any of the billions of kinds of creatures that flourish in every backyard and crevice...so I doubt he walked away with a student...to go see a frog..

also this student would be missing too, and what did he do with Kyron's body to hide it so well it was never recovered? so no...this did not happen.

there is a long trail of lies and abuse and that trail always leads back to Terri. mOO

See link for a lengthy article. Posting last 3 paragraphs.

To learn more about Kyron’s case, O’Neill Robben (former Portland Tribune reporter; author) has used her legal expertise to file public records requests with public bodies that have been involved in the case, including the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and other law-enforcement agencies. While Oregon law conditionally exempts records from open criminal cases from disclosure, restricting what reporters and the public can find out about them, Robben is arguing that that exemption doesn’t apply in Kyron’s case.

O’Neill Robben also has requested financial and time-worked records about the investigations and the public funds spent on them, which the sheriff’s office agreed are not exempt from disclosure. Among other things, such records could reveal how active the investigation actually is. The Portland Tribune will report the results of her research.

“Would it ever be possible to make a successful no-body murder case against someone based on all of the information about Kyron’s disappearance that the DA’s Office and the investigators on the case have available to them? And could the public obtain at least some of that information by using Oregon’s Public Records Law?” O’Neill Robben said of the requests she is financing.
