1. Can you buy alcohol (beer, wine, other?) in a grocery store in Oregon?

1. Beer and wine only. Hard liquor is only sold in liquor stores run with tight controls dictated by the state.
2. You can buy alcohol whenever the store is open. I think the liquor stores keep specific hours. Used to be they were closed on Sunday. Not sure now. I don't drink, so I don't know their hours.

You can buy beer and wine at the grocery store, but not distilled spirits. Sales hours are 7 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.

P.S. I've only been in one of the state-regulated liquor stores a few times in my life, but I think they set their own hours, and I don't imagine many of them open at 7 a.m.

Not that it has much bearing on the case, but do we know how kyron referred to Terri?
Mom? Terri? Aunt Terri?
I can imagine if asked, he would say "That's my step-mom".
But at home when he was calling out for TH what did he call her?

We know Teri and DY did emails frequently. I wonder if DY ever spoke on the phone with Kyron in between his visits at DY's house?

I keep thinking about the alleged "earache" that the baby sister had, in which TH stated she drove around rural areas to "soothe" her daughter on that morning. Seems to me that if I had one kid w/a routine checkup scheduled (or at least something that was more elective in nature and not acute) and I had a younger, more vulnerable child, who was in pain with an acute earache . . . I would cancel the older child's appointment and reschedule that one and use the scheduled time for the more acutely ill child. Any word if TH actually took any child to the Dr. that day?

Also wondering what happened to the science project by 3:00 that afternoon when Kyron was supposed to be getting off the bus? If in fact, TH was picking up the science project with the truck, and the talent show wasn't until later - it would seem to the the science fair area would be closed during the talent show (for security reasons and not have children wandering the halls). If KH and TH were home waiting @ the bus stop that afternoon - hadn't it already been pre-arranged for her to go to the school and pick up the Frog exhibit while picking Kyron up afterschool. Anyone know if KH commented on why he was home @ 3 that day to meet Kyron @ the bus, but TH needed his truck to pick up the stuff from school? Where was the baby sister - did she go to the bus stop w/them? Did they ask the bus driver?

I do not recall reading any statement that Terri took anyone to the doctor that day. In the time line provided by sources, there is no mention of any doctor appointment on June 4.

Here is Kyron's project after school. It appears that most everyone else knew when the projects were to be picked up.

I think this (the sending of the email) is still considered rumor.

Sources said she also e-mailed the teacher to find out when she could come pick up the project as she had not taken it home.

I have not seen any public statement from Kaine addressing why Terri didn't pick up the science project. Only that she took the truck that day in order to bring it home. I've also not seen any reporter ask Kaine why they did not take the logical course of action and pick up Kyron and the project and then go for the treat (referenced below).

He said in an e-mail to KATU News: “I typically drive the truck and Terri drives the car. She wanted to use the truck to bring Kyron's science fair project home, easier done with the truck than the car."

Yes, K was with them and went to the bus stop.

He wrote that he arrived back home at about 2 p.m. and worked until about 3:30 from his home office. He then walked down to Kyron’s bus stop with Terri and their 19-month-old daughter, K.

(not sure what you wanted them to ask the bus driver) (ETA: I just realized that you might have meant "Did they ask the bus driver whether the little sister was with Kaine and Terri. I don't know what LE asked the bus driver. I don't think the bus driver has spoken to the media. If he has, haven't seen it.)

Has Kaine ever acknowledged or denied that Terri had a history of taking the little one for a ride in the car to calm her, make her feel better, etc.?

Was the little one on medication for the ear infection?

noway, you most awesomely rock!!! Thank you for putting things in perspective for me. I would be highly suspicious if I were Kaine about the whole "afterschool" arrangements and the special treat. Poor baby K, an earache and nobody to snuggle her, give her tylenol, and let her know she is not alone in her pain! (unfortunately, I fear much like Kyron).

I know TH was involved in Kyron's life and helped to raise him since he was a toddler. That had to take tremendous courage and setting her own issues aside for DY. Does anyone have any info on how TH interacted with either child? (ie: kyron or baby) It would be interesting to know if she was nurturing and careful to watch the children's non-verbal cues and respond appropriately. I have a feeling she was cold, distant, only provided for basic needs or learning and did not connect "emotionally" with this children, but this is just my hunch. I would love to see any info from anyone who could verify the children had a loving relationship w/TH but I fear it doesn't exist. Thank you again - Noway!

He also said she had mood swings but was not overly violent- I'm not sure if that is in relation to the children or him....or both.

He also said that TH butted heads with her teenage son and their r/ship was not 'typical'.
The only thing I know about Baby K is that both DY and KH say she is now like a new child.
As far as I know he has not discussed the interaction between TH and the children in his presence. (wish he would though)

I have not read everything, but am trying.....If KH got off early that day, why did he not go to the talent show?? Also, I was reading something about a treat for the Science Fair Project.....why not a treat for the Talent Show? What did I miss?
At the school that my children attend, talent shows are preformed in the day for the school kids, then again that evening for parents that work who could not attend....was it this way at Kyon's school?

Thank you for this interesting post. Do you happen to have a link to the statement that TH "butted heads " with her son ? Because I have only ever read that KH and the son " butted heads " ? In fact this was given as a possible motive in a hypothetical case that TH harmed Kyron ; that her son had to leave because of his "head butting" with KH, and thus her wanting to "get even " with KH .....

In the audio interview about 2 weeks ago, Kaine talks about how he "butted heads" with Terri's son and explains his perspective of why he did, and he also talks about some Terri having some conflict with her son.

I believe this is the original "butted heads" article, which said that Kaine butted heads with Terri's son:

“He and Kaine on occasion butted heads, because J is hard-headed,” Tarver says.
