Desiree Young's civil lawsuit against Terri Moulton Horman can proceed without delay, a Multnomah County judge ruled Wednesday.

Judge Henry Kantor issued his decision after hearing 30 minutes of testimony. He said a deposition of Horman's biological son, James Moulton, can go forward Thursday before his planned military service is set to begin late this month.

Civil allegations require a lower standard of proof — a preponderance of evidence — than criminal charges, which must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

On Wednesday, the judge said he will set parameters for the proceedings to protect the constitutional rights of Terri Horman.

I have to wonder if that pic was taken today! It's HOT outside! :hot: And she has a sweater on?

This photo was from June 1st when she originally filed the suit. Remember how cold it was in June? Today is just boiling up!

Kyron's father Kaine Horman said police have growing evidence against Terri.

"It's significantly strengthened their belief that she had involvement in the situation."

From the link:

Peter Bunch, Horman's civil lawyer, argued Wednesday that the civil suit cannot move forward while there's an ongoing criminal investigation into Kyron's disappearance. He said interviews were still being conducted in California and elsewhere.

I'm curious who is being interviewed and also who is conducting these interviews?

This article clears it up (if it's correct of course, I don't think we've seen the actual filing):

In a filing on Tuesday, Bunch said the investigation is moving forward: A grand jury continues to meet, and police have conducted interviews in Oregon and California in recent months.

As for the California interviews...obviously somebody police are interested in could have moved to California. Also, Terri lived in California until she was 12 and it's interesting to remember that Kaine had a California Fourth of July trip planned for just him and Kyron when Kyron went missing.

The first Kyron archive has gotten so huge that I have been making sub-sections which are subject specific.

A new addition now is for all legal issues (GJ, divorce, civil lawsuit, hearings, motions, trials, anything).
Access that archive here:
