The son is an INNOCENT VICTIM in this mess, not only that he is a minor!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is he being sleuthed??? Please stop!

Who's sleuthing him? We're discussing the article and the information presented in it.

Pretty sure it was a suicide hotline that had both male and females calling in. The rape work came from him putting together a brochure for women on how to avoid rape.

I have a difficult time accepting that in my message to the children, you contaminated it with incorrect information about Ted Bundy.

If you google Ted Bundy and Rape Crisis Center, you will find numerous references to this.

" Bundy had previously "disguised" himself as a compassionate rape crisis center counselor."

I maintain that I was not incorrect.

I'm not defending anyone or trashing anyone else, but did these in-laws, who clearly dislike Terri, say that she was a poor mother? I don't want to read the article again. I am just looking for anyone who has indicated that her mothering skills were in question. (Besides Kaine-not that I am doubting him, but just wondering about someone with less at stake.) I know that sociopaths can be devious, etc. nature of the beast, but usually someone has some insight. Would be interested in hearing from teacher, but of course now, nothing is unbiased as concerns Terri.

Sorry, I'm not in Portland, but was Desiree Young quoted in the newspaper speaking of Kyron in the past tense? I'm gobsmacked.

It appears to be the case. The caption does not say when she said that.

The in-laws, in so many words, said Terri's life revolved around J. It seems, from today's story, that Terri's parenting skills started becoming questionable around the time the baby was born.

There was also an allegation that Tarver had AIDS, an incurable disease. And yet here he is, healthy as can be taking care of his son. People throw around all kinds of nasty allegations in a divorce.

That people would be so, so, so, so low to throw out random ideas like this. I mean, really. So sad, probably ruined his life there for a while, and probably still does with the people that don't hold all the information.

Wait a minute...

*goes into deep thought about this case*

The person that threw out the allegations about Tarver was Terri.

I posted the article about Marjorie Caldwell yesterday on here. She had 5 children and everyone thought she was a good mother, although in adulthood her children turned against her. It is felt that she killed at least 2 people and masterminded the death of her adoptive mother for money.

She served prison time for arson a couple of times. While in prison, the inmates just loved her. She taught them adult education and crocheted blankets for the guards.

She was released when she was 71 years old and just returned last year or the year before for stealing the money of an elderly man and having him cremated before the family even knew he was dead.

Not one family member came to greet her when she was released from prison the last time.

In the books that I read about her, everyone thought she was a great mother to her five children,, except apparently the children when they got much older.

Tricia doesn't grade us here at WS for promoting innocence or guilt - we are here to discuss theories and conjecture, this is not a court of law. MOO MHO

Tricia is grading us? That's news to me. When do I get my report card?

I believe your card has been turned to "red". So go to your room and don't come out until morning.

How much you see your child is irrelevent. They go by a standard matrix that takes into account income only.

QUOTE]

Not if you're going by the Oregon state child support calculator. It definitely takes parenting time into consideration. The more you see the child(ren), the less you pay.

You mean the way Carol Moulton speaks for Terri? I agree. Let Terri and Richard speak for themselves.

I so agree with this. There have been a metric ton of people spewing Terri said this and Terri said that and Terri meant this and Terri meant that. I'm sick of it. I want to hear it from the source, or LE, or her attorney, or verified, complete, unedited recordings, or not at all.

You can allege anything you want. Doesn't make it true.

This is so true. You can write anything you want in an application for a RO. It's simply hearsay until proven. Thanks for pointing that out.

Guess you could ask the same question about Desiree - what was she doing to support her own child. If people are going to use that against Terri, why not to both moms? moo

Desiree works tho and do we know she didnt pay maintenance?

Im not sure its the same thing at all. JMO

Here's someone besides Kaine commenting on Terri's mothering skills. She has been obviously biased towards Terri, and obviously angry with her, but I think her assessment is important to note.

July 26 Dateline

KATE SNOW: Was she a good mother?

DESIREE YOUNG: I wouldn't say she would replace me, obviously, but she definitely gave him what he needed.

The timing of her son's name change seems very interesting in retrospect and the name it was changed to.

1) She had his name changed in January of this year, according to this article. Why now, after all these years?

2) His last name was changed to Moulton, her maiden name, and not to Tarver.

If he has spending summers and weekends with his grandparents, I can see why the name might be changed to Moulton. But if he's been spending summers/weekends with his biological father and now lives with him, wouldn't J want it to be changed to Tarver?

J moved to Roseburg sometime in January. He lived with his grandparents for a short time before moving to his father's. So it seems he has a good relationship with his father. I can understand he feels no connection to the name 'Ecker'. But who (Terri or J) wanted his name changed and what did J want it to be?
At his age, a judge would certainly take his wishes into account. I don't see it being done without his consent or even desire to change.

BBM --

Just curious how you "noticed" this? NO WHERE in the article does it even insinuate anything like this.

Seems to me Kaine had taken good care of J -- enough so that J would like to be in contact with Kaine, and Kaine with him.

Seems to me the only one doing the "dumping" was TH with her children. She took away his bio-dads rights to have her new hubby adopt him, then moved on to Kaine, making him the new dad. Then, sent J back with his bio-dad. She didn't seem to put up much of a fight over baby K, either. And, well, possibly had a hand in Kyrons disappearance. So, I'd say it's TH who doesn't care to hold on to her children.

BBM

She did no such thing.

Still all talking about the "my money" comment? Looks simply like Kaine was repeating a question: "Did you feel TH was controlling with your money?" "Controlling with my money? Yeah, because she was spending all of it. She was going out and spending it like water and not checking with me where we should be spending our money."
That's almost a direct quote. What Kaine said was edited otherwise it would make no sense, IMO.

No, he wasn't.

Terri also told friends that Kaine tried to control her spending.

"Controlling with my money — yeah," Kaine said, "because she was spending all of it. She was going out and spending it like water and not checking with me where we should be spending our money."

Makes complete sense when taken in context.
