When asked about Ahlittia during questioning, Russell Flugence said, "I don't give a f- about that little girl," according to Normand. When news reporters asked Matthew Flugence whether he killed Ahlittia as he walked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional facility in Gretna, Normand said he told them, "And f'ed your mother, too"

What sick evil these two brothers are! I hope MF gets the death penalty, and his brother RS gets life.

Flugence's brother, Russell Flugence, 21, of Marrero, was also arrested and booked with obstruction of justice. Normand said Flugence knew his brother was connected to Ahlittia's disappearance.

I will never understand how anyone could try to cover and protect monsters like MF. That is unless RF is a monster too, and from the article quoting his sickening comment, he's as evil and as much of a monster as MF is.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who had nightmares last night, and I can't imagine what thoughts will run through my head tonight after reading those words. This is a case that will prey on my mind for a very long time.

My ex once left my dd in the 'care' of a teenaged male relative of his new wife while they went out partying. And then wondered why I threw an absolute fit about it.

I am thinking that he and his brother hid her body until they heard the trash bins had already been searched, then threw her in one they thought was already searched and hoped it would not be searched again.
I'd be willing to bet money, that they were drugged out. Not that it matters one whit to me.
If she was not raped, I'll be surprised.
I am also finding it doubtful that he's telling the truth about finding her outside.
I hope LE got to question them both prior to their lawyering up.

I look at my four children, and they are so tenderhearted and couldn't bear to hurt anyone. How does one go from a little child, to a killer.... just like that?

ETA: Could Katrina have caused PTSD in these men in their early teens? I just can't wrap my mind around murdering an innocent child, so I'm trying to rationalize it somehow, I guess.

Tenderhearted children are raised in a tenderhearted environment. Unfortunately many of the children in this world have no such environment. In fact many have an opposite environment. Not an excuse for such behaviour but certainly a large factor.

And no I absolutely do not believe PTSD from Katrina plays a part here. I survived Katrina as did many many close friends, relatives, coworkers and aquaintences and not one has lost their humanity as a result of Katrina yet.
