RUNAWAY JUVENILE:

On 08/04/2022, 14 year old Alajai Wallace was reported as a runaway juvenile. Alajai was last known to have blue, pink, and purple hair. Alajai has been in contact with her family but refuses to return home.

Anyone with any information as to where she is, call WMPD at 396-2722.

What does that mean, refuses to return home? Why can't LE pick her up and confine her in juvenile detention unless and until she can be placed with a family member or she chooses to go home? I wasn't aware that a 14 year-old had a choice to stay voluntarily away from home??

I assume they don't know where she is.

Why doesn't the family tell them? If they don't know, there are ways to find out her location from digital evidence.
