Ma, I agree with you. This was a night gone all kinds of wrong. We know he hit her and he hit her hard. Hard enough to badly damage that back rim. That baby was hurt. And his truck was worse. He had to get rid of her and the truck then. I think he strangled that poor baby and thats why his hands and arms were all clawed up. She did not go without a fight. I think he put her right there in the WB and took those back roads home. I think those boys at the station saw the whole darned thing take place. We all know that LCG place has all kinds of video. They cannot release that video because then we'de all know. Now y'all know about all those videos down St.Landry. The Police checked those first thing. She did not get that far on down.

Could this be an example of a possibility of why Brandon Scott Lavergne, had a bandage/cast on his hand?
Also Gary Hilton; serial killer gave up the location of Meredith Emerson's remains in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table.

MEREDITH EMERSON FOUGHT FOR HER LIFE

*Hilton said his hand was broken by the blows.

Gary Michael Hilton confessed to the GBI that he killed and ... Blackening both of her eyes and probably breaking her nose, but Emerson continued to fight back. ... "That's the one thing that broke my heart in this case," GBI agent Clay Bridges ... The blood of so many are equally on the hands of the corrupt

He was incarcerated at C. Paul Phelps Corrections Center in DeQuincey, LA. They have vo-tech facilities on the grounds of the prison. He would not have left the prison for classes.

Respectfully disagree, bkdrum73.

Brandon Scott Lavergne, received an early release for good behavior, was a trustee, and worked as a mechanic for the St. of LA for 6 years.. Prolly kept the Warden & Secretary's vehicle in top notch running condition... Furloughs are granted to prisoners that meet certain criteria.

Suspect in Shunick case has troubled past

A picture of a troubled young man is starting to emerge of Brandon Scott Lavergne, the man arrested and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in the Mickey Shunick case.

Great question..... Also
Where was he incarcerated during his prison sentence? Was it Angola the entire time?

I noticed that scar on his neck and it reminded me of my sons recent accident about 4 months ago...My son started off with pink scars and after about 2 & half months they turned a deep purple.

The picture with the scar is not the most recent mugshot. That is from previous arrest. The picture of him in which he looks slimmer, is actually the most recent.

We are unsure of these details. LE is not commenting on them. There has been much discussion that either someone helped him eg his Gf/friend etc. he also is known to have friends in tx so that is another possibility. Also the possibility of a taxi/cab

A cab would have cost a fortune if one was even able to get one out in that rural area.

So the white truck was driven to Texas and then burned? Hmmmm...wouldn't it be less noticeable to just drive it to Texas and leave it in some big parking lot or out in the middle of nowhere? Burning the truck just draws more attention to it. Burning it, to me, means only one thing, her DNA/evidence was in that truck. I anxiously await news of the conditions inside that truck.

I was also wondering if BSL inserted himself in the investigation? Was he out there with the search teams?

Good question! We may never know unless they took down names? Can anyone who took part in searches answer this question? However, I'd say he was quiet busy trying to destroy evidence and working offshore JMO

True was just an example, but if he earns the money people say he could I'm sure it wasn't a biggie.

Is this considered a reliable source?

http://cajunradio.net/details-on-br...sappearance-coming-in-press-conference-today/

"Lavergne was pulled over by Louisiana State Police at the intersection of I-10 and I-49 in Lafayette at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday for a routine traffic stop. There was a warrant out for his arrest, so he was brought in for further questioning. It was revealed that Lavergne had altered his driver’s license to hide his sex offender status."

*I don't think there's any mention of "injuries" to BSL in this article, just the altered dr. lic.

I would not consider them reliable. It has been noted they twisted around what the chief stated and spread incorrect info.

The one in orange jumpsuit is most recent.

No, the picture of him in the orange is the most recent. If you go to the Jades website they have his mugshot taken the day he was arrested. But that scar does look pretty old.

In the Sierra Lemar case LE stated that they tracked her scent to the end of the driveway.

In essence they did not lie.

What they did not state is that after they tracked her to the end of the driveway, they tracked her further approximately 1/2 block further up.

You have no idea now many of us went OMG, we fell for it. This is only one example.

There is as well issues within LPD which may/may not be affecting how LE is acting.

In this case I do not believe LPD is calling the shots.

Thanks for the info on the Sierra Lemar case. I was not aware of that. However I have questioned if LE was using semantics in this case. On the Friday night when they released 2 pictures related to Mickey they stated that the Circle K pic was the last known of her. However, I don't know that they have made that statement since then-in other words, there may have been more video that appeared after they released that still of her that they just have not told us about.

The video from the Daily Advertiser may have been of BSL truck passing by on his way in and out of town. Many people in this area will take Bertrand Drive to HWY 95 to go to Churchpoint and from there you can go north to Swords/Lawtell. It is possible they did not realize the connection or importance of this (because there are so many DWT in the area) until recently when they were possibly looking at video from there in connection to the shooting at the Taco Bell recently.

<modsnip>

Hun, I got some pictures to share with you. See, when I was a wee teen I was hit by a truck, rear ended, nonetheless by my very own brother that wasn't paying attention. Well my little pink bicycle went right under that truck and I ended up a** first into that windshield. I got the scars to prove it. And so does he ;) Now there are some physics for y'all. My daddy has been in law enforcement since he left home as a boy. He is all but an expert and he says almost ALL rear end bicycle accidents end up with the rider on top of that vehicle. My daddy does not play around with the truth.

Guess you missed the entirety of the physics discussion. We covered how bodies could fly up and over a vehicle which progresses underneath the airborne body. I'll bet your daddy has never seen a vehicle hit a bike from behind and knock it or the rider backwards.

Now we know as it has been confirmed time and time again that little Mickey passed that station at 1:47 am and Brandon passed at 1:48 am. Let us not turn fact back into fiction.

Please support this with links to MSM or LE statements.

Now I want y'all to <modsnip>tell me how a little girl on a bike and a big ole truck passed within one minute, give or take a few seconds, of each other in that exact same spot and y'all say it is not possible they coincided there at the same time. There is a possibility that they ended up in that very same spot within the same couple of seconds that would have allowed for them to collide. At the very most, it was slightly over one minute.

It has been covered ad infinitum, ad nauseum here. My suggestion would be for you to read the last 5-6 threads. It's in there.

My other suggestion would be to employ more fact, less snark, and as others have stated, to not assert your opinion as fact. And if you have inside information, there is a way to become verified. Otherwise, WS views it as rumor. HTH.

Cheers.

Great points of discussion.

I have seen LE use video and release specific information to be both vague and poignant, in an attempt to get info from the public, and presumably, give the perp a false sense of security.

Sorry if this is a duplicate, haven't caught up, but, wanted to make sure this information regarding BL was noted here:

-"A couple" of Red Sports Cars

-Skirting is currently missing from the home (LE took it)

By Saturday morning, the yellow police tape and law enforcement vehicles were gone from around Lavergne's property. Two pieces of skirting were missing from around the mobile home, reportedly removed by police. A couple of red sports cars sat behind the mobile home, apparently unused for some time.

Highly unlikely that there would be a taxi anywhere near a huge rural national forest IMO. I have never seen one when I have been out camping.
