Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Someguy" hasn't come back since the GJ returned a true bill. Am I right on that?
According to the member search, someguy was last logged in today.

Someone was speculating about the Jennings murders a page or two back, I think -- and yes, as part of the discussion about whether BSL may actually have been "out and about" some during what we have as the years of his incarceration.

Those women don't seem to fit BSL's MO though. Those poor women were of questionable repute and I just don't see him going for those kinds of women. Yes, Lisa and Mickey really didn't appear to be anything alike, but still I don't think the Jennings women fit into it. Besides, wasn't it highly speculated that these murders were done by someone in or imitating LE?
BTW, one of the girls murdered in Jennings was the niece of one of my best friends.

I think BSL had the injury to his finger on his hand that he uses the most. I don't know if he is right or left handed but if it was cut badly ...wouldn't it be his dominate hand? If he were fighting for a knife or defending himself from an attack ..i would think you would grab with the hand you use the most. Unless he was cutting something and his other hand got in the way. jmo

I live in the Houston area and if there's been any media coverage other than when Mickey went missing, I missed it. There is so much crime to cover right here, I'm thinking they already have their hands full.

My sister lives in Spring and she only heard about Mickey at all from me, and nothing about the truck being found near there.

I also agree with this. I am also personally familiar with an individual who was convicted of attempted murder in Louisiana who served as a trustee towards the end of his 15 year sentence. Once he was transferred from state prison to parish prison he was able to be out in the community with very little supervision. This transfer process seems similar to the one posted above for BSL. He was even able to visit the hospital where his grandparent was dying without supervision because it was an urgent situation.

If anybody thinks that these stories are far fetched or exaggerated then please recall (or google) Haley Bourbour pardonning convicted murderer (who had been sentenced to life) after feeling that he was a pretty good guy while working as a trustee at the governers mansion over in mississippi. Sheesh.

yes you are correct. Also a poster on here was rather rude and accusatory towards him and BSL's family, which the mods deleted but I'm pretty sure he saw the posts. So I don't know if he hasn't come back because of that or because he's afraid of compromising the case. ???

I was very saddened to see what was said to him. He was only ever kind and helpful here on WS and I miss his input.

Just a couple of random things I've been wondering about that aren't exactly tied to anything in particular. I've been playing catch up as well as reading older threads to compare what we knew then and now with what has been said by LE and others. Not particularly helpful, but definitely interesting, ya know?

Anyway, I saw mention of MS having a box cutter in her possession. Has that ever been verified? I could have sworn I read BW disputing that, that he didn't know of anything like that being carried by her. Is this one of those things that started as rumor and "became" truth?

Also, I was thinking about the videos that slowlybutshelley and I made back at the end of May of Mickey's possible routes, and how that relates to the video that the Daily Advertiser had. I saw someone ask how BSL could have gotten from St Landry Street to Bertrand (in front of the DA office) and from there to the Interstate, and it got me thinking that I inadvertently may have driven the same route -- from the St Landry Street extension to Coliseum Blvd to Souvenir Gate Rd to Cajundome Blvd to West Congress Street to Bertrand. I just rewatched the second video to make sure I was remembering the drive right. It also led me to thinking about the fact that I can't remember if LE narrowed down the area that whatever happened happened in -- I was thinking it was the area between Dean Street and Coliseum Road, where there's very little light, but is that wishful thinking on my part?

I know, I know, this is old old stuff that no one is probably interested in reading, so sorry. It was just something that was nibbling at the back of my mind, though. :)

Is there a thread where people are listing the rapes/murders that BSL may have been involved in and why they think that? I would like to list some cases....

  • #732
Ah, thank you! He hasn't posted recently though has he?
You're correct. His last post was on 7/13 (according to the member list), and the GJ returned the true bill on 7/18.

No, it has never been verified if Mickey carried a boxcutter or not. Friends posted on FB early in the case that she had. But BW said she did not that he knew of.

They said it happened between St Landry and St Mary and Blackham Colliseum

I'm going to share some info with y'all (yes, I have gone through all the proper channels and have been waiting to post) with the caution that I can tell you no more, so I won't be able to answer any questions.

BSL went to a 3rd hospital, this one in Texas.

He did much more travelling and visiting gas stations than some gave him credit for. (Ironic that the gas issue came up now)

He was seen by several different people with his wounds, and gave different stories to each of those people as to how they happened.

He was very 'antsy' while waiting to get his new truck.

Thank y'all for giving me and so many others such insight into Mickey's disappearance.

BBM

If you can't answer, I understand, but the several people who saw his wounds that you refer to, are those people all in the same Texas hospital or are you saying his stories at Ochsner and Opelousas General were different from the Texas story?

I'm just wondering if he told one nurse in Texas one story and then the Texas doctor another etc. (or something to that nature - the check in girl one thing and the nurse another)

:what:
I'm just thinking that in the 24 hours following abducting Mickey, BSL had to get gas somewhere because of all the mileage he was putting on the truck. Maybe LE has pinpointed where his debit cards, gas cards or just simply video of him at a station. I'm assuming he would pay at the pump to keep from going inside a station with the bleeding wounds, etc all over him.

Many offshore workers have company gas credit cards to fill their vehicles because they use them for work to go back and forth to land jobs, offshore jobs and sometimes hotshot jobs. I am going to guess BSL probably had one.

You're right. The day he posted was when the information was given that he was also being charged for murder one for Lisa Pate was well... if I'm remembering correctly!! I had originally thought it was the true bill date but it must have just been that Pate information.

Those people all work at the same business here in Lafayette. They are in no way connected to the hospital in Texas. I don't know the Texas story, I just know he was at a Texas hospital.

A couple of thoughts I have... I would be surprised if they let a prisoner out for any time at all if they're serving time for for rape/violent sex offense. Simply due to the risk and the severity of the consequences to them if he offended while out. I would hope certain crimes would automatically disqualify prisoners from any of these programs.
Not sure where in TX BSL called the truck stolen in from... Wouldn't le have to come and take a report. Wherever he was it had to make sense and not set off alarm bells to the responding officers that this was a phony report. So, I doubt he called it in from the hospital parking lot or from anywhere around the fire... I doubt it was a family or friends house, unless they were in on it with him. Stores and public places would have video, so he wouldn't have called from there. If he had a good story, a hotel is really the only place that makes sense...
Wherever he was when he made the call to le had to have been the place his truck was "stolen" from since he now had no transportation to get anywhere else...
All Jmo
