What about the Palm Beach Jane Doe (1987)? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
Original

Babette possibly to have gone to Bay St. Louis MS right? She may have gotten in to drugs and prostitution and the Doe had bad arthritis and dental problems, things the Doe had. It's 700 miles away, yes but I've seen much farther matches be confirmed. All the base-line things match (hair, height, weight, ect.) and the bone structure seems similar at least to me. Note that this WAS my first match so it probably is bad but I think it still holds up.

Also, is it true that every DNA profile is in CODIS? Doe Network dismissed this match because of this but accepted a match with DNA available in both cases. I'm honestly a bit confused at this.

Bumping for Babette. The anniversary of her disappearance recently passed.

There's a different photo of Babette on what I believe to be the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office website.

Wonder how recent it is to her disappearance.

Has there been any comparison/rule out between Babette and the Slidell County Jane Doe? Both women appear to have DNA and dental records available in their case files. I would think it shouldn’t be too difficult for law enforcement to make a comparison.

Babette disappeared three years prior to Jane Doe's discovery, but her last known location was just across Lake Pontchartrain, in Hahnville, La. Moreover, Babette was possibly traveling to Bay of St. Louis, Miss., which is just 30 miles east of where Slidell Jane Doe was found.

Beyond some similarities in Babette’s features and the reconstruction of Jane Doe, both women had scars on their abdomen and wrists, were around the same age, and appear to share a similar physique.

I am wondering how decomposed that Slidell Jane Doe was. Babette had tattoos, and the Jane Doe was to have breast implants (even though that is not listed on her NamUs profile anymore for some reason, but still listed on her Doe Network profile 16UFLA) I would like to think they have been compared since they are so close in proximity.

bbm

The report said she had shoulder-length auburn hair and small, old scars on her right knee, right wrist, and upper abdomen. A broad tan line on her left ring finger suggested she had worn a wedding ring for an extensive period.

The victim’s body bore no significant wounds, and her blood contained minimal amounts of caffeine and alcohol. The coroner believed she died less than 24-hours before the fisherman found her body.

The point about the tattoos is well taken...probably the biggest discrepancy between the two women, since nothing appears to be listed for Jane Doe (and you'd think that would be recorded by law enforcement as identifiable markers).

Surely some guy wanted to go too far with her and killed her... or he got into a vehicle with someone he knew or trusted... there are so many possibilities...
whatever it was
rest in peace
