Three Baton Rouge Officers Killed, Three Injured in Ambush

Three Baton Rouge police officers were killed and three others injured in an apparent ambush shooting Sunday morning, the city's mayor and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said.

At least one suspect is dead, but law enforcement officials believe two others may be at large, the sheriff's office said.

The ambush comes less than two weeks after a fatal police shooting sparked protests in Baton Rouge, turning the city into the latest flashpoint in the ongoing debate over law enforcement tactics...

Thanks. The on air reporter jumped and moved out of sight at the same time I heard it. I was surprised they didn't talk about it.

But a shooting will get cops there, in force. If this was an ambush (which I am thinking it was), the suspects had to get the cops there in order to ambush them. The "shooting" did that.

Yes, I await further information, as well. With regard to your 'ambush' theory, it could be, however what makes it less likely to me is that the witness saw a guy lying on the pavement (he thought he was dead). IMO, it is not necessary to kill someone, just gunshots alone will draw police. And, according to the witness, the police were there very quickly. But again, further information is needed.
