Identified! LA - Baton Rouge, Male, on levee near LSU, Feb'15 - Name withheld

As joggers passed nearby, Baton Rouge police detectives Saturday evening were investigating human remains found near LSU, along the banks of the Mississippi River.

The remains were found near River Road and Skip Bertman Drive, near the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, said Cpl. Don Coppola, a Baton Rouge police spokesman.

Baton Rouge police have identified human remains on a levee near LSU’s campus. Police say that the remains belonged to a male in his 50’s, and that they have no reason to suspect foul play...Officials believe that the person died of natural causes, or by suicide. They have not released any names at this time.
