LA LA - Belle Chasse, WhtMale 16-17, UP88342, hanged, suicide note, Feb'75 #2

I stand corrected, Louisiana does not border Florida, but they are both considered apart of the Gulf Coast.

Currently, there is no way to identify who this young man is. If the suicide note that is out there is really a copy of the original one , maybe handwriting samples can be used in comparison. But without dental, fingerprints, or DNA, im not sure how we can get resolution. What if we could collectively come up with a few individuals we feel could be potential matches and email LSU FACES? Maybe asking if they could take a look. They might have access to information we dont. For example, we know this UID had a mouth scar and slight protruding teeth. They might be able to see if this matches up with someone on our list. Just a suggestion...thoughts (?)

I think this is a perfect idea.

I’m not a professional or anything on cases & matches to the unidentified but ages ago i was thinking of BCJD and put names of potential matches/identities in a notebook.

I can’t remember why i put some of the names i did down; i think it was because of matching timelines & resemblances.
I’ll list them all down. I beg everyone to tell me if any obviously don’t match.

List:
Bayard Cousins
Derran/Darren Conway Rogers
Matt Amon (looked him up again & now doubt this one)

Ralph Hampton Miller

David Kyak (1972; i have my doubts on this one as he was from Australia, not impossible but i feel like he was met with foul play)

Alan Bourque
Lester Petry
Colin Egan
Earl Anthony “Jay” Joggerst

Harmon Shay (creds to this thread because its how i found out of his case; although i have doubts now because their faces are extremely different)

Mike D. Burnett
Orin Anderson
Roger Merton Day

Perry Otto Corlew (Perry’s dentals were sent to see if they matched BCJD’s but the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Department lost Perry’s dental records & we don’t know if they matched or not)

John Deeny
Robert Raymond Parks
Timmy McKernan
Danny L. Jones

Barry “Rocky” Fiddler (this one can be ruled out easily i think; i don’t think he could have traveled from Canada to Louisiana in 13 days)

Mitch Weiser (i also doubt this one because he went missing with his fiancé & it seemed like BCJD wasn’t married and/or in a relationship)

Eddie Zajac
Brian Henry
Alan Soper
Christopher King
Gary Locklear
Mark Bachelder
David Hesterlee
James “Jamie” Zapolski
William Elroy Meyer
Steven Lewis Ericson
Christopher Brian Wells
Timothy L Aamoth

Ronnie Lewis Hitchcock (no photos available of Ronnie)

I’m a new user so i’m not sure how to attach links to their cases. Also sorry if the post is hard to understand or read; i feel like it looks a bit messy.

I would imagine the Coroners report would still be in existence or is that missing too!? That would be kept at a Vital Statistics office, correct ? Maybe FACES would have access to it, it would list scars, old fractures, ect
This could be compared to our list of potentials.. It could be a start...
This case is very frustrating..

What's all this? No one told me. I could've sworn I was watching this thread. I thought it was Charles Wallace. I was 98% sure and 100% wrong.
Oh well I don't think we'll ever know who this is.

I was a member of the Charles Wallace Club too !
I think it was a pretty popular club.

Does anyone know if there's a website or thread that's dedicated to UID's without identifiers? I just don't see how some of these older cases will ever get solved without one. Family members should know that just submitting DNA sometimes isn't enough. I don't know if there's one or not and I suppose filters could be used or something but it should be as easy as possible.

I was ready to make Nichols my new favorite potential match, but two small details changed my mind. First, Nichols had a mane of bushy hair, and that wouldn’t have changed to straight hair in just a couple of months. Also, our JD was described as “fuzzy-faced,” whereas Nichols had a thick beard. Second, his father died in April 1974, so the “Mom and Dad” note wouldn’t make sense. MOO JMO

We can rule Nichols out. He was murdered that same day, and several people were involved. When I read about an alleged sighting by other hunters, who said Nichols ran from them, I really thought he might have just wanted to start over somewhere else. The search that had already been called off, was resumed because of that sighting. Looking back, I believe the sighting was a red herring meant to make LE think Nichols was still alive. It’s sad that his body has never been found.
