Found Deceased LA - Cordaryle Robert, 25, Slidell, 24 June 2016 *Arrests*

IMO two scenarios come to mind  :

1) Perhaps a "friend" or acquaintance had been eyeing his wheels...then pretending to be broke down on the side of the road in the middle of the night, Cordaryl stops to see if he can help, then he's ambushed and killed - car is stripped and torched and his body thrown in the ditch.

2) Maybe a person had been stocking Cordaryl for his wheels, pulls up behind him and bumps his car from behind. Cordaryl pulls over and gets out of the car and he's ambushed.

Either way it's just so sad that people out there see something they want and then take it instead of working for it. Makes me sick :tantrum:. I can't wait until LE find the animals that did this. I've heard some unsettling things about the NOPD so am hoping they're up to the task and justice comes swiftly for Cordaryl's friends and family :jail:.

My heart goes out to his family and friends that loved him, may he RIP :rose:.

According to this article, he was not far from a casino. I wonder if he hit up the casino after work and possibly won an amount of money or someone thought he did. Was carjacked, robbed and murdered, thrown in the ditch, then they took his Caddy to the area it was found, stripped and burned it. I don't have a feeling that this was someone he knew. If it turns out to be, I'll be very surprised.

His poor wife and kids! RIP Cordaryle!

It makes me cringe that he kept flashing his car, jewelry, money etc. He def drew attention to himself (not blaming him at all) but why do young people reveal so much about themselves?

Thankfully his child wasnt with him.

Two suspects in the murder of Cordaryle Robert were arrested in Houma, LA yesterday morning: a 28 year old man and a 23 year old woman. They are now charged with 2d degree murder and other crimes.

A second and perhaps a third suspect is being sought in the murder of the 21 year old young lady at the Raising Canes. Her killer stabbed her once to force her to open the door to the building, then several more times before he left as she lay on the ground, completely helpless. She had worked at the restaurant since high school and had recently been promoted to shift manager. He and his posse got $1,000.00 and now face the death penalty. Yep, we still have the DP in LA.

I am so over our crime. These criminals are not even deterred anymore, at all. They will rob, shoot, stab, kill, punch right in front of anyone, including cameras and the police. The best thing that ever happened here was Project NOLA. The NOPD works hard to get things under control. The problem is, when the person gets out of jail over and over, their jobs are a never ending cycle. REALLY harsh prisons (like those boot camp style prisons) and sentences are our only hope, I think. But, I don't ever see that happening in the big EASY. Very scary and annoying for us innocent citizens.

mpnola - 80% of all crimes and arrests are committed by people who were let out of jail early. We will not protect the public by bowing to the criminal's rights but the tails are wagging all the dogs in NOLA. Essence Festival is coming to town and the numbers of robberies, muggings and carjackings will sky rocket. A big event is just an advertisement for criminal opportunity for those who prey on unsuspecting tourists. My friends with businesses in NOLA near the dome and in the Quarter will close for this event rather than risk their or their employees lives and property because the criminals go wild when this event comes to town. Yet, we have politicians who woo this festival every year. I don't get it.

When I saw his family posting that the last they heard, he was going to the casino, I thought he was going to Harrah's. It is in the center of the action downtown, so plenty of cameras. He didn't- he was at Boomtown. The road Boomtown is on is just------- desolate! A few industrial plants, but basically dark and long and creepy. They would have lots of room to try to follow him or try to get him. In New Orleans, you don't need to attract any attention. They probably went through that parking lot (or hell, saw him driving down the road) decided they liked something and attacked him. It's like the window shopping at the mall--- only a whole lot more terrifying and violent! I am sure this dude would have given you his rims to save his life. Why kill and dump him. So unacceptable. Enjoy your rims from jail for life, sweetheart! How did that work out for you.

(Of course, TeaTime and I just posted about our criminals constantly getting back out, so maybe I don't really believe this. Anyone who wants to know about just how violent you can be and still remain free in New Orleans, just google Telly Hankton. )

Wait, what? He lived with his fiancee and was lured by these 2 "winners" under the guise of going on a date with the girl?

Someone please tell me that I read that wrong.

I would think that grown up and experienced men wouldn't be lured this way! It usually happens to women. How could this happen to this poor man?! He was 25 and looking at him we would suppose he could be aware of such characters like the two losers who killed him! He had just finished the work in his car and was so proud! Rest in peace young man. You fell pray of two murderers. May they rot in prison.

Oh my gosh. So senseless. And it makes it 10 times harder for the family. Anyone find her Facebook? I want to see what she was luring with!

I tried but I only found one that was blank so she took it down.

I don't think it was a date, I think it was a bootie call.

Right. Like those women on that HBO tv show that stand on the corner and say "Want a date?" I have never felt the same about that word since. lol
