Yeah usually the first stop after bar was eating somewhere. Sadly even some of the past drownings had cases where the victim stopped to sit down and eat, and then still ended up off course and by the river.I find it interesting - and admittedly slightly amusing, if it wasn't for the sad context - that we speculate with great rationality about where she could be going, why she took a certain route instead of another, what she was doing in those missing 50 mins, etc etc...
If I think at when I was a "regular, very responsible 22yo college student" I shudder; I used to go to bars by myself, be in questionable areas in the middle of the night, tipsy or drunk, coming home by myself cycling or walking, I would stop at food trucks to have a snack, talk to random strangers, etc... all with total fearlessness and ingenuity!
MOO
?I thought the same. As she appears to be on her phone was she meeting someone there? Or went to relieve herself or take/smoke something?
Can anyone show a street view of how secluded it is down by the Mississippi on Front St
Thanks for taking all those pictures.
For now, her Facebook page has been taken down, as well as that of her mother, Amber Heinz. There was a very adorable picture of Eliotte, as a toddler, and her mother, both very dressed up and most likely it was when Amber got married, whether it was to Eliotte's father or to someone else.
Public records show an address for an apartment at 1425 8th St S in La Crosse.
From the Bronco to that address is 1.4 miles.

Ca. 30 mins walkBringing this forward, as some are asking where Elliotte lived.
How far is the Marriot from her apartment? On my phone, can someone throw up a map?
I apologize, the 2nd photo in this post is not what I meant to attach. I said it was Eliotte's POV in her last photo, looking west. But it's actually what she would have seen if she had walked in the direction (which she did not.)![]()
Local news report from today. I wanted to note the spot where the reporter is standing and looking at the river, while she talks about the search. She's standing in the parking lot south of the Courtyard hotel, which is a block south of Eliotte's last photo. You can see it's some distance to the river, with a bunch of pipes and stuff in the way. If you can see it, there's a big black pipe running along this whole way, and I have to keep telling my self it's not a sewage pipe. I'm attaching my own photo from this same spot.

The next photo is from where Eliotte was last seen, looking west. Hopefully you can see there's a path to a couple of benches that overlook the river. There are cameras here.
There's also a walking path that goes along the river, and ends where those benches are. So she could have been walking along that instead of on Front St, if she wanted to be by the river.

I also mentioned in my previous post that the big city park (Riverside Park) is a few blocks behind Eliotte in her last photo, and that park is where you'd normally go to be by the water. The park is closed at night, but it's possible she went to that park after the bar, and then it would make sense why she's on this street.
So what I'm trying to get at is that whether or not she went to the park, she definitely walked past this little overlook spot. It's possible she passed that up, went further south, then saw a bunch of nasty pipes and decided to climb over one to get to the river. But to me it doesn't seem like she wanted to do that, she looks like she's trying to get home.
I'm going to post again with some more photos from this area. I hope these are helpful.
edited to hopefully fix images
Thank you! Really hoping we hear some updates tomorrow. My thoughts are with Elliotte’s family as they wait for answers.
Completely agreed on this. There are certain ranges in terms of height/weight/age that predators seem to hone in on. This is a concern. What is worrisome is her age, so attractive and petite frame. Not unlike Eliza Fletcher, Mollie Tibbets, Dru Sjodin, Chianti Dixon. I have noticed that most women who are abducted are petite.
I have been following many of these cases. I hope that she is found safe quickly.
Someone posted an article that said she initially left with a friend and walked with her to her apartment, then was headed to her own.As for the 50 min gap between bar closing and cctv photo I don’t find it odd at all. I used to go to the bars until closing time and usually I would hang out with friends in the outside the bar chatting for a while since we would walk in different directions. Sometimes it would be something quick to snack close by before heading home. IMO
The different route could be that she was heading somewhere else not her dorm / apartment. Afterparty or a friend house. Imo
I would like to know if she was on the phone or texted someone on the way.
I don’t like that there is a river so close by and I hope that she is not in it .
