Found Safe LA - Derek Willis, 35, Claiborne Parish, 30 June 2019

Derek Willis was last seen June 30 leaving his grandmother’s house in a black car. A family member says they think his cellphone records showed his last call was placed from the Texarkana area. Willis stands 6′1″ tall, weighs 235 pounds and has health issues.

Homer family seeks information on missing relative

Willis is under a physician’s care for heart and kidney issues and requires medication.

The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating Willis’ disappearance. Sheriff Ken Bailey said there are no new leads.

I know that each source has stated he was last seen leaving in a black car, but it’s been fairly vague. Was this his black car, some known person’s car, a strange vehicle never seen before?

I did notice this source (link below) is the only one I’ve noticed so far that stated he was driving the black car.

Missing Homer, LA man found safe

The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office posted a brief notice Wednesday on its Facebook page that Derek Willis had been located safely through “a collaborative effort between Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office and (the) Texarkana, AR Police Department.”
