Sept 8, 2022 article:

Lutz said her family was contacted by the Harahan Police Department recently concerning the case. Allen’s phone has been sent to a crime lab so that data information could be obtained, Lutz said. The Harahan Police Department did not return calls regarding the case.

[…]

Miranda Ockman said she has known Allen since middle school, when the two attended JB Martin together. Ockman said Allen was a long-time St. Charles Parish resident who had moved to Harahan in April 2022 after not being able to find new housing in St. Charles Parish following Hurricane Ida.

“An eyewitness saw her walking,” Ockman said of Allen after the crash on May 28.

[…]

Ockman said Lutz’s belongings found in Kenner included her “untouched” purse containing money and her cell phone.
I SO glad an article was written. Sadly, that's not our main newspaper. I never even heard of it. Why is harahan/ Jefferson parish keeping this so quiet? I think they don't want the reputation of crime like Orleans parish. But it is hurting Jamie and her family to stay so silent.

Details of Disappearance

Allen was last seen in the 5700 block River Road in Harahan, Louisiana at 9:30 p.m. on May 28, 2022. She disappeared from the scene after a car accident, leaving her car behind. At 2:00 a.m. on May 29, some of her belongings, including her cellular phone and purse, were found on the bike path at the levee near Williams Road in Kenner, Louisiana. There was no other sign of her and she has never been heard from again.

Allen's family stated they don't believe she would have abandoned her family; she has no history of leaving out of warning and kept in regular touch with her loved ones. Her case remains unsolved.

Bumping her case up.
Sorry to ask but how close were her belongings found to any water she might have fallen into?

There are other cases on Websleuths of people having a car accident and fleeing the scene, leaving their items in the vicinity. Sometimes they do this because of panic from the accident. Sometimes they are having a medical episode. Sometimes they aren't in their right state of mind.

They can go quite far into a rural area or fall into water. They usually aren't abducted.

Note -- this is just my opinion. What I think is most likely.

I truly hope her case is solved soon.

The water is not water you can fall into from the levee. And her belongings were several miles down, if I remember right. I posted a map, at one time, that might help. I think of her all the time. I have no idea why it isn't talked about. This is a tiny town and I can guarantee no one I ask would say they heard about it.

Do you remember ever hearing about searches for her being arranged?

What do you know/think about the area where her belongings were found? If someone was in that area and disoriented or confused, for example, could they wander into terrain that might "hide" them? Is there any access to water, even if not easy access?

Yes. They had dog searches and the best water searcher around!!! Here is the post that was on the search page. Some of that looks behind the levee, but some of that was on the dry side. I have no idea what to think ....

There is some wooded terrain that could be less likely to see someone, but the levee is a walking/ bike path. And it has levee patrol. I would think in the winter when our brush is less thick that someone would have seen it. You can get to the water in places, but you wouldn't really "fall in". I would say it would have to be a pretty intentional entry to get into the river.

Thanks for the information. I do hope she is actually okay out there and will be safely located. It's concerning that a car accident was involved, but there is always hope.

Yeah, it's quite weird. Her dad was posting constantly and then it just stopped. I really hope the police have continued to follow or at least her family has been given info of what they believe happened. No one should go missing without the work being put in to get answers. Breaks my heart for her.

Thanks for joining me here for her. She's not forgotten! I don't know her, but she's on my mind often.
