He may have had time. It's only an hour or less from New Orleans depending upon where the incident took place.

Could someone have done this from a boat? Is there shark activity in these waters (Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian)???

That is what I'm thinking.

Could not be fingerprints no mention of arms or hands being located yet. Only legs. I think they might have rushed the DNA through.
No matter how they confirmed her still the prep is out there. And needs to be located and brought to Justice before they do it again if they have not already done so.

I am always grateful when a person goes missing that they are recovered to give those who loved them some closure. It's been said time again how hellish it must be to go years without knowing where the missing person is. So in this case, as horrible as it is to have body parts wash ashore, I am relieved that family and friends know where she is, AND elated that possible evidence can be found as a result of the recovery.

I also wonder what that tells us about the perp? I know the folks that study these things probably know, but it makes me think this is an unsophisticated killer. On the other hand, there are so many missing people who are never found. I can only surmise those that met a terrible demise, did so at the hands of perps who are very well organized and sophisticated to have hidden the remains and avoided detection. It is all quite sobering to me.

I agree. As horrible and as tragic as Jaren's case has turned out, at least her family will not have to wonder where she is.

Hopefully, the perp is unsophisticated and will be caught. LE needs to look closely at other missing persons, deaths of young women to make sure there is no link. They need to contact LE in surrounding parishes as well. Many times, a serial killer has been able to get away for years because LE in different areas did not cooperate.

I can't speak for everyone else here. But please know I will be praying for the family but also Jaren's freinds as they deal with this senseless tragedy.

I think I've been mentioning the wrong strip club. I have been referring to Stiletto's for some reason. I see that she worked at Temptations. Is that correct? I know that she also worked with someone who has worked at Stiletto's. It's possible that these girls bounce from club to club, correct?

At this point, anything seems possible. Because Jaren's body has been recovered, the coroner will be able to do an in depth analysis which might lead to where her body was put into the water.

If it were me trying to conceal such a crime (God forbid!) I would go as far out as I could to ensure she was never found. She was found so soon after the crime that I don't think a boat was involved. Just my opinion, though.

Yes and hopefully that is something that will lead to whomever did this horrific crime.

The former doctor in Grand Isle, another GOM area, used to treat all kinds of shark bites from people surf fishing in shallow water. The bites ranged from nips to serious, life threatening injuries.

Not far at all. A few years ago there were several attacks (none fatal that I recall) and one of them was a teen boy fishing about knee-deep and he got bitten.
