Just kidding, but I see we agree again. I think the perp had to know the remains would eventually wash ashore and be ID'd, so I do believe that was intentional and meant as a warning to others who might cross him/her. I have other theories, but I lean toward this one right now.

Would love to hear your other theories!

Nola- I agree... a message perhaps.Maybe she disrespected the wrong person....given the nature of her occupation. Or owed a debt of some sort. Let's face reality, I love NOLA but 8th district isn't known for sunday school picnics and children's birthday parties. I do not feel am being disrespectful to Jaren personally, it is what it is.

Not sure about motive, but s/he was obviously not trying to hide the aftermath, in my opinion.

Allowing the remains to found within days seems to indicate lack of concern for being linked to the crime.

That's either a message or stone cold arrogance.

I don't think they believe they will be caught or connected to her in any way. This was certainly a brazen crime, as though they are snubbing their nose at LE. Wouldn't it have been MUCH easier to take her out to the swamps or something, to never be found? Instead they destroyed her and spread her all over in our faces and on our beaches.

To have been so disrespectful with her remains certainly makes me think that there was intense anger at her. Maybe someone who feels above the law or as you say will never be connected with the crime.

I can see her leaving work and starting to head home, only to be grabbed, pushed in a car and taken to face this person with whom she owed something to. Let's face it, dismemberment of her body would suggest that the perp had time and privacy to do so.

Man, I hope LE are protecting her BF; he may have more info than he realizes about possible perps. If it was someone they both knew and owed money to.

I don't know...I guess I am thinking that the perp somehow thought that her body would be less likely to surface if in smaller pieces (sorry to say that.) Of course he may be of the sort who enjoys the act of defiling a human being after death. Not sure if I agree about the message part; to me, it seems more like for his convenience in some way, or for his own selfish purposes.

Really hoping cameras caught Jaren being followed out of the club.

If the perp is NOT someone who was in the club, it could be a rogue cab driver...

I would have the same concerns for a young woman who worked in any type of place that naturally attracts a somewhat dubious element...not just a strip club. I know women who have done this work; when I managed an (expensive) apartment complex years ago, a few girls worked at a "gentlemens club" in town and made a lot of money and lived very well. I am sure for some that is the appeal. Many were also attending college and some had children. Not everyone has a hang-up about being seen naked and if they are not doing anything more on the side, are not ashamed of it.

Were they connected to her club, or out looking for a random walker? She was taken from the French Quarter, right? Isn't that supposed to be the safest place in NOLA? Wouldn't the message be better directed at the one who was the target, rather than for all of us to see? What message are WE supposed to get?? Remember The Godfather...horse head in the bed? There are TOO MANY tiny, pretty, 20 something, EDUCATED, blondes in Southeast America that have gone "missing" for NO REASON!!!!
And very well COULD be related... That ALSO had NO involvement by family or Mates....

What I said has nothing to do with her choices...it has to do with the types of people who frequent those places as customers, that is what I was referring to as far as having to do with her workplace. Nothing about the victim.

Sorry, I had read several other posts and by the time I got to yours it struck me wrong. I took out my frustration at others on your post and I shouldnt have done that. Look Ive been a sleuther here for a while now. I understand the process of how we do what we do here. Its just different when its so close to home., so new and fresh.

But lets be honest, if this was someone that you knew and cared about and you read these things, what would you think? How would you react? When we take it upon ourselves to discuss the lives and characters of the players in a crime, we open ourselves to their loved ones anger and hurt. Its the nature of the beast my friends.....

It is at all possible that they can track another member, find out their real name and location?? I don't know much about hacking and such or how difficult it would be. I once interviewed a serial killer and used a fake name, but would still be VERY worried if he escaped.
