Around here, I've heard several times in the past few years about missing children of color or otherwise in my area. From memory I would guess about the same number as white children. Our police force is not full of a bunch of old white men ignoring missing children if their skin happens to look different. While I don't feel at least in BR that the LE are racist, they don't always let us know about the crimes involving people living "high risk lifestyles." I don't think that is fair, but somehow more acceptable to people. The motives of cities who do this could only be guessed unless we had someone on the inside, but I suspect most of these places would like to under-report all crimes to make their city look safer (JMO). And, maybe they think no one will notice. Thank goodness with Jaren people are seeing this and maybe will demand more from our LE in the future. It's just a serious shame that it took something like this for people to see it.

Jury, I sincerely hope that you don't think that there are that many racists in this country who wouldn't report missing children to the media because of their ethnicity. What an awful thought! I sure hope it isn't that way. I feel pretty confident in my LE that they will notify us of ANY missing children. If I'm proven wrong in the future, I will come back here and apologize for saying otherwise.
JMO

I'm saying he media has little interest in covering those cases.

Now back on topic

At least with the stab wound we can assume she was was before she was dismembered

It's my opinion that the crime scene is in NOLA. The dismemberment was for "ease" of moving and dumping the body. Laura Ackerson's murderers used coolers and dumped her dismembered body in water. I'd bet that is the case here too. Coolers do not look out of place near water.

I just read about the other body parts. Horrible to imagine, but at least they can all be laid to rest together. I can't imagine having to identify my loved one from a body part or two.

As for Hillary, I did notice on her obit if you click to view the guest entries, some people who signed the guestbook left first and last names. Maybe they could be contacted for more information.

Theres alot of "tweeting" goin on in regards to Jaren. Some are already assuming that the body found is her.
It freaks me out...some of the things that folks tweet about, its so personal. I have a hard time just giving out my phone number...and thats to people I already know. Perhaps,Im paranoid.

I agree, and it's going to be one he** of a crime scene when they DO find it (assuming of course, that they haven't already)

Maybe, but maybe not. Most dismemberments occur in a bathtub for easy clean up. (Laura Ackerson, Lauren Giddings, Jun Lin, etc.)

The stabbing indicates that she knew her murderer.
