New info within last 2 weeks led to arrest of MAS.

Able to locate people that hadn't been located before.

During the past two weeks, investigators were able to uncover new evidence to lead to the arrest of MAS yesterday. The case is still ongoing. A lot of work to do, still, that wasn't done in the past. In just two weeks, they (Kenner PD) were able to accomplish things that weren't able to be done in a year or two by Mississippi law enforcement.

Kenner detectives have been to NY to conduct interviews in last two weeks.

Can't rule out addt'l suspects. MAS charged with 2nd degree murder and Ob of Justice pertaining to the dismemberment of the body. They believe she assisted in dismembering Jaren's body.

They have evidence that the 3 traveled from NOLA to Kenner, and evidence that Speaks and Sanchez went to Mississippi (and stayed in Mississippi for a short time).

Still have retainer on Speaks for other sex charges so not going anywhere when released in October.
